He's not suited to our game. We need someone quick and strong to lead the line. Giroud would be better off at Chelsea or feckin sunderland.

RVP wasnt blessed with pace but he was still a whole lot quicker than giroud. Don't see why Poldi doesnt get given a run. He's a decent finisher with pace and strength. If his hold up play is a worry it cant be much worse than Girouds.

He's fecking dreadful. Give him an actual brain and, with his desperation to succeed, his misplaced self belief and his physical traits he'd have the potential to be half useful. The problem is, he has absolutely no clue how to use any of the traits he does have.

He's one of the biggest donkey's I've ever seen play football, just makes the wrong decision almost every single time. He doesn't have a clue how to link play, his hold up play, as you say, is non existent, he, for unbeknown reasons attempts to one touch everything that comes to him and he sees fit to take shots that just aren't on. It's honestly like he's trolling, badly.

Giroud is good back up striker but not a worthy RVP replacement. Thats what annoys me that fact that he is RVP's replacement.

15 goals in 40 appearances isn't good enough, but the main thing he needed was a goal, after the terrible February he had, and he got it.

You're right in that he can't direct his headers but he mistimes the flight of the ball and jumps into an opposition player's back which really frustrates me because we are just losing the ball time and time again. He didn't really have much to work with if I'm honest but needless to say, he hasn't been good enough overall this season; 15 goals and 10 assists may make for respectable reading, but his general performances on the whole haven't cut it.

We definitely need another striker in the Summer, but as you, let's not right him off yet.

I was surprised to learn that Mandzukic only has 3 more goals than him though (Mandzukic has 18 goals this season), I thought Mandzukic would have scored more than that given the quality of service he has at Bayern.

Never said that.

Look I am not Giroud fan. But he is OK as a backup because he attacks the ball superbly. Wenger pointed out Gervinho and Giroud's misses in his post match interview. Never a good sign.

But for whatever reason Arsene will not play Podolski in the striking role so we are dependent on him going on one of his runs to end of the season to get us back into the CL.
