I feel sorry for the fans in Spain. As good as La Liga is, the flaws in the structure mean they are all like Arsenal bar Barca and Madrid.
Meaning they keep losing their best players to teams abroad or the big two - hence no competition at the top.
Imagine if Valencia still had Villa, Albiol, Silva and Mata. Or Ateltico had Aguero. They'd make the title race a lot more competitive and entertaining and the fans of the lower clubs would get to see better quality football.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Where is title race in England? United already has it pretty much wrapped up with ten games still left to play. by the way only as recently as last waek Atlectico were above madrid in the table, in case you didnt know
I thought we weren't mentioning one off games? Haha.
------------------------------------------------------------------
An imaginary Primera Devision team outside top two vs An EPL team outside top two would be a one off game, won't it?
Bring it on!!!!
Remember Atletico 4- 1 Chelsea?
Bilbao 3-1 United
Yes that is pretty impressive...
Now how about one of the teams that form our not top 2 XI winning the CL?
That is 200 times as impressive.
United haven't wrapped up the title yet though. And this lead isn't exactly the norm. Last season the title was won in the last minute of the game and I think the last time a there's been a lead like this at this stage was back in 2001.
Yes, they were above them, but still miles off of Barca, and will more than likely finish below Madrid once again and sell Falcao meaning they won't be making a competitive title challenge any time soon.
An English team won the CL last year, and another competed in the 2011 final - its hardly the end of English football to go one season without a club making it to the quarter finals.
==================================
and that was the only English team left in the competition beyond last 16 round. the year before there were only two english teams in the Qfs. and this year???
An English team still has the trophy.
That wasn't my post.
==========================
The context was same though

put madrid and barca in any league and you ll have the same outcome. cant blame the rest of the league for the top two's superiority.
Peaople said the same about Atletico when they sold Forlan and Aguero but not only they won europe league but uefa super cup as well and look certain to qualify for next year's CL and im sure they ll have a good run and go deep into the tournament. look what Malaga are doing. cash strapped, sold two of their top players, first time competing in the CL yet they have made it into quarter finals.
Real and Barcelona would lose a lot more in the PL. They wouldn't get away with their cheating either.
An English team still has the trophy.

And the unique record of getting knocked out of the tournament at the group stage
Real and Barcelona would lose a lot more in the PL.
======================================
No they Won't.
They wouldn't get away with their cheating either.
======================================
If united could, why won't they?
So what. It's still ours until may. Feels good
Silk, I blamed the structure of La Liga for the top two's superiority.
Atletico are a top side, I agree, but they were not exactly a top CL team even when they had Forlan and Aguero.
And if the inevitable happens and Falcao is sold, they'll find it difficult in the CL next season as well.
Fair play to Malaga, they are one of the success stories of the season.
I'm a big fan of La Liga, however, there is more problems for the league than there are in the premier league - Madrid and Barca aside - simply down to money.
A may not be right, but it's the way things are.
Barca are the only Spanish side to win the CL for years. England has had 3 different winners and multiple finalists.
Don't write it off so soon, even if there is a regression in the class of our league. There's been an even bigger one in Spain compared to 10-15 years ago.

Can you believe some of the comments suggesting La Liga is the weakest, most boring and a joke league. ffs this league has produced the majority of the best players the very finest the world can offer in the past few years and Its liga's players who won spain two euros and one world cup on the bounce.
this league has dominated europa league for yeaers and now dominating CL.
Theres no way out. the writing is on the wall for EPL. weather you believe it or burry your head under the sand
So what. It's still ours until may. Feels good

I thought it was taken back from them the day they got knocked out in the group or maybe even earlier in the Turin no seriously i thought that

You make stupid comments then other people make stupid comments and the cycle continues. I am 95% sure you do it on purpose, your a wum who I doubt believes the majority of what he says...
At least I hope not.
Some of the comments are ridiculous, but so are yours.
La Liga is a great league but it isn't dominating the CL. Barca are a dominant force, yes, and Madrid have got to two semis but outside of that there is no domination.
Most people are well aware of the problems in the Prem, however, our financial model means we won't be falling away any time soon as a competitive member of the CL.
We haven't covered ourselves in glory the last two seasons, despite Chelsea's flukey win, but we are in a good position for the future due to how our league is ran.
Most people know this, your hatred for the prem is clouding that judgement.
No other make stupid comments and all i ever make is sense. you are still heavily influenced by your infamous media, not my fault.
i believe every single word that i say, if i didnt i won't exist.

Spain are only allowed four teams in the championship. if two of those are reaching the semis for two years running, not bad. this year they are certainly the dominant force. they have got three teams in the quarters.
You cant hide the truth under the tag of hatred my friend, try to learn with the reality and life ll be much easier for you my dear old cha cha friend.
