as i say its a long term view when bates reign ends in hindsight will it be a good move?

My guess is that hindsight will reveal an absolute scandal of financial naughtiness and that anyone who ever supported him will be horrified and ashamed at their inability to learn from a lifetime of KB in business. But it's just a guess.
Unfortunately I think hitmen might still be illegal (unless the hit is on an establishment whistleblower).

You know as well as every other fan on these boards that there are three or four vocal Bates bashers. They will never change their views, they have an agenda.
There are others that support him.
At the end of the day, to date he has turned our club from losing money to being solvent. We have, under his tenure, sunk to the depths, but would appear to be on the way back.
I reckon, in a couple of years time, personally, that the genuine fans will see his time here as one of the reasons why LUFC became a success again.
That will not stop the 'anti Bates' group from being vocal. They'd not be happy if we won the European Champions Cup back to back after winning the title under his Chairmanship.

He's decided that the prize for the half time penalty challenge at each of the club's home games will be £50,000 apparently. He's also decided that the fan that shows the happiest disposition throughout the season get £1m
That should attract a better class of fan than some we've got!

Eric - thats a very generous prize by any standard. Good on the man I say. Tell me, would that be the queens money or 50k in vouchers?
Eric - the happiest fan will obviously be sg at winning promotion... the £1 million to be spent anywhere within the new motel.

I do love this forum! agenda or no agenda its peoples opinion in my eyes im no basher or lover of Ken Bates or Simon Grayson but in my eyes i don't think graysons done anything majorly wrong and Bates is atoning for his sins but i say that holding my breath he does have a dodgy track record!
