Watched it online -Dire game.
I think another 90 mins and the score would have been the same!
I watched online as well.
We were trying our hardest to play some football but it's just impossible against a bunch of thugs.
Mind you, Lukaku should really have scored a couple but a clean sheet and a point is very welcome.
Oh....and Ben was awesome again today....
Will be similar, although not quite as bad, when we travel to West Ham in our next game.
Physical, long ball but I think we'll come out with the win at Upton Park (even though I'd take a point). 4 points from these 2 tough away games would be a brilliant return.
Tidy, you're right. Ben collecting of crosses and commanding of his area was immense today. But he didn't have a shot to save until the 91st minute. That was Stokes 1st (and only?) attempt on target.
Agreed Tidy. With Joe Hart looking shaky again today, I would put him as number one choice for Woy.
My totally unbiased opinion of course!
Worst game of football I've witnessed since the last time we played Stoke. It always ends up turning into them pumping endless long balls us trying to pick up the scraps by which time they close us down before we can start moving it.
Not the worst result though. I thought they'd end up scoring one of those late free kicks they had.
Begiining to get a bit worried about Morrison. He hasn't had a good game for a while. Looked way off the pace again today.
The midfield trio of Brunt, Mozza, Thomas were all awful in my opinion Teix.
All lightweight and the game passed them all by.
Lucky the 2 men behind them, Yacob and Mulumbu, were on form. The back 5 also played very well.
Can't argue with that JH. Thomas isn't the same player he was 2 season's ago. He went past his man once in the first minute or two, got clattered, then disappeared.
Not a fan of square pegs in round holes but I'd rather have seen Fortune there today. He absolutely bullied the Stoke defenders up there last season.
Foster commanded his area well, but outfield nobody really stood out for Albion, but I thought Jerome Thomas at least gave us width and combined well with Liam Ridgewell down the left. But it's impossible to play against players who think barging into you is legal. Lukaku had no luck against the 7 foot pillar of concrete who was marking him. I don't know what point Brunt was trying to make to Mike Dean over that free kick, but I cant believe he was wasting time. Was he trying to tell the ref something about the ball?
I couldn't watch Stoke every week. Their season ticket prices for next year - the most expensive is £519 - £6 a match dearer than Albion's most expensive.
really good point in the end
Most Stokies can't watch Stoke every week. They are the biggest critics of their own team and the way they 'play'.
Ironicly, it's what keeps them in this League. If they tried to play 'football' then they would be in trouble.
I was laughing every time the ball went to a Stoke player, and as he shaped up to kick it, the Baggies fans were going "whoaahhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHH HOOF!!!"
But as for Albion being Stoke's bogey team JH, I think you need to look at the facts and revise your view.......... in the last 32 games between Albion and Stoke in league and cup, Stoke have won 20 and Albion 3, with 9 draws.
