Its obstruction

That is what I would have thought but until yesterday I'd never seen anything done about it.

Liverpool did last season at Anfield in the first half on De Gea, it worked very well but in the second half they stopped they went no where near him. I aint got a problem with it, afterall its only like marking any other player in the box at corners, is it not???

Anichebe wasn't penalized for standing in front of Hart. He was actively backing into him to stop him getting to the ball. It's a foul. The difference with degea seems to be if you just put numbers around he isn't able to get through them to get to the ball

There is no difference in what Anichebe did yesterday and what players do to De Gea.

Hernandez does it all the time.

Have a look at corners for united, it's always Evra that's standing in front of DDG

I'm mainly addressing your point that fouls were awarded for anichebe standing in front of Hart. They weren't. They were given for backing into him and blocking him. It doesn't matter who the keeper is, it's a free kick.

Players have every right however to stand in front of the keeper. It only becomes obstruction when you move to block him. Most incidences I have seen with degea have been him struggling to get through a crowd of players

Marking the player that trying to block him off.

No, if you have a look properly he's obstructing DDG way more than the opposition

BRAVEHART is allowed to get away with murder to cover up the three glaring flaws in his game that the media refuse to acknowledge:

Poor at crosses
Awful distribution
Can't save shots to his bottom left

Commentators will bend their agendas in any way that allows these flaws to be ignored.

I think Evra is trying to get De gea some space and with Evra been small you would think he could reach over to punch the ball

posted on 17/3/13

That may be true, it's also a hindrance to him.. I actually feel the goal keepers get way too much protection from referees.

No offence taken, i think it should be allowed as i've said its only like marking a player.

There shouldnt be. A player should be allowed to stand his ground wherever he pleases. Theres always been players in front of goalies. If they go out of their way to block the goalie from coming out, then its a foul. Goalies have it pretty easy though. They run into people all the time, fall over, then get rewarded the free kick even though they're the ones that jumped on the other player.

They do get away with murder, they have the benifit of being able to run or jump into players to catch or punch the ball, but if a player runs into the keeper to try and win the ball its a free kick, go figure?

"I know people are probably sick of hearing about how De Gea gets slaughtered by the media and how Hart is seemingly immune to criticism, but the Everton-City match yesterday riled me."

I keep seeing this, I have to ask which media people are referring to? The last few weeks in particular, De Gea had been nothing but praised in te papers I have read, whereas Hart has absolutely got criticism. Earlier in the season, they were more critical of De Gea but I really haven seen it for a while now.
