To be honest ... I think I would like to see the same team that played Scunny start our first game at Florets ... it seemed to work then ... let's carry the momentum on.

Is it allowed to play a trialist in a competitive game?

posted on 1/8/11

No he needs to sign a contract and then be registered so needs to happen in next couple of days if Hill is keeping him on

Why not start with Preece? We've just played 5 pre-season games and he's only conceded ONE goal.

I don't think either him or Steele are top quality (hence the trialist) but I'd be a bit miffed if I'd put in those shifts and didn't think I was in with a shout.

On Sunday, when asked about any chance of signing VazTe, he would not discuss Vaz Te or Reid.

Hillcroft are guests at Supporters club meeting tonight in the Legends Suite, we may get some clues as to any new signings, but I doubt it....

I agree with Bud that Addison looks a bit slow. Vaz Te needs to sign to play. 50/50 but I would like to see him.

My 11.

Wiseman
Foster
Edwards
Mc Nulty

Perkins
Doyle
Butterfield

At the Supporters meeting KH was asked if Vaz Te was being signed on, his reply was that negotiations are under way, but he is not being rushed over the issue.
IMO if the players personal terms are acceptable then the deal will be done.
Kyle Reid is still under review.

Andy Gray has had a recurrence of a long term injury and will be out for a while.

When asked about A.L.Fondre, Mr Hill went a little bit coy, and explained how he knew the players strengths and weakness's, but IMO we will not be busting our budget to sign what would be a gamble.

With Steele and Butts now being fit, My line up for Sat'dy would be.

_____________ Steele. ____________

Wiseman . . . . Foster . . . .Edwards . . . .McEverley

. . . . . . . . . . . . Addison . . . . . Doyle

Perkins (all ovver t'pitch) . . . . . . . . . . .Butterfield

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ... . .. . . ..Haynes.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Davies.

Subs. Preece,Hassel,Done RNL,Vaz Te.

How can a Wendie be considered a judge of player ability...

posted on 4/8/11

Lets not start the argument over who has had the better players over the last twenty or so years. I really will make you look extremely stupid.

The last 2 years would be sufficient (but unnecessary) thank you

Oh right, do we only judge football clubs on their last two seasons then?
