There is no appreciable difference between Stale and Saunders when it comes to possession stats. Possession football is just one of the myths associated with our play when Stale was in charge that has no basis in fact.
Tara i’m missing figures for Leicester (H) & Brighton (H). Do you have them?

Cheers Tara. So Solbakken’s legendary possession based football actually meant we had less of the ball than under Saunders.
Don’t believe the hype!

Think their stats maybe wrong. But your conclusion is close.
On my line chart it shows SS starting really well and then a steep decline from October. From Jan theres a minimal decline then its begins to climb in Feb.
I’ve spotted one error on my part which was to give us 66% v Palace when it was them that had 66%.
How do you actually measure possession though? When the ball is booted forward by Ikeme et al is it in our possession until it reaches them?
Not sure but would have thought that until one side has complete control of the ball thats when possession should start.
The first team have been doing better of late, WITSS. Two wins in the last three games. Remember what was happening against Ipswich, Peterborough and Luton in the matches preceding your hero's dismissal?
I don't know whether they show the BBC's Football League Show in your part of the Everglades swamp, but it certainly DOES reach the west coast of Scotland's outlying islands...
