Disagree completely.
Jones won't be a winger simple due to his lack of Pace - he is a great back up player and would be a top right back in the championship but IMO Albion are going to need to spend some money to stay up.

How much of WBA do you watch.

You're entitled to that opinion, no problem, but Billy Jones is anything but slow. Also, if you've watched recent Albion games you'd see that Bilky can beat a player no problem and has been our most attacking threat.

The spending money part is a load of ball bags though. We've been mid table for 3 years now and we haven't spent that much. We'll continue to do so.

He is far from Quick - he isn't slow like Ridgewell - but he isn't quick
And that may well be true - but the Ville finished 6th how many times and look at them now.
Spending money isn't just about paying sums - like £4m for Foster its wages I'm talking about which are steadily increasing.

Also - where would the club be without Lukaku and Odem - who may well be gone in the summer.

With a bit more composure at Stoke, Jones could have delivered a better cross from the right hand side of the six yard box and we would surely have scored. That composure will come. I thought both full backs played their part in stretching play out wide on the wings.
Jones gives 100% in every game in order to secure his place in the starting line-up - he's got a spot-on attitude. There are a few doubts and he gets caught out but he's learning all the time and it's up to Stevie C whether he's good enough to hold that RB place down.

If you follow Albion closely El Dios, you'd know that JP has released the purse strings a fair bit in regards to wages.

Agree with that Aries.

At first glance I thought it was a bad miss by Lukaku but then I saw the defender got back and got a touch.

To be fair composure is not a major issue for him. Can't remember who we played but in a recent home game he created a goal for (I think) Lukaku (?) where he beat his man, got to the touch line and picked out the striker who slotted it in.

i really like jones hes quick, he can afford to get tight to his man on one on ones, compared to slower players like reid and ridgewell.

Jones has played well these last two games - his best performances for us so far. But, he has been caught out too much in the past and Reid is still the better player, so should play when fit imo.

In the summer, I hope we get a new right back and, if BJ is happy to, have jones as back up

JH - i know he has including deals such as Scharner and Odem on £40k a week
I think Albion are the best team in the midlands but have got to avoid going backwards.

Agree with you JH. If we were as good a defender as he is going forward he would be a great player. However as a free transfer from Preston he has proved to be a great addition to the squad and is by no means out of his depth.
