Pathetic, should support your country. If we were winning things I'm sure you'd be right behind them OP....

United were winning naff all in the 70s and 80s and I wasnt really behind England then, it's just United for me.

Ask yourself this, a pen shoot out and you can only pick one winner. England world cup final or United champions league final? Bet your bottom dollar that 99.9% of united supporters would pick champions league final in a heart beat as club is way more important to them. This could be for any club and the results would most probably be the same, as club football is just with us all the time and it's very tribal!

It's hard.

I don't agree with people blaming other England fans for not supporting England. I think that's a cop out.

That said supporting this country is a chore due to the fact there isn't a lot of pride left in it.

I suppose in my opinion it's pretty hard to get excited about England, I only watch the tournaments and the bigger qualifiers. Im not gonna go round blaming others for that, that's my choice.

Coppell, Webb, Robbo would have had better/longer careers without England. Beckham got hung in effigy by in-bred halfwit cockneys after playing for England. Rooney gets slated/blamed for everything when playing for England. I can do without them.

Coppell, Webb, Robbo

Were they in European competition games much ?
Were they big drinkers and pie eaters ?

every time it goes wrong its Uniteds fault, stick it.

What a strange question. If you had any football knowledge (you may well have, you just don't ever use it on this site) you'd know they were injured playing for England (career finishers in real terms for Coppell and Webb).

What was your point?

That wasn't for you ONH, obviously

Coppull was a heart breaker at the age of 29, loved watching him play with Hill on the other wing. Sadly he got badly injured in his prime but became a very good manager

Coppell was a top player, remember seeing him rip Notts forest to bits one night game at their place early 80s.

Next day in the papers clough stated his was the difference between the two teams, & that bloke knew his onions.

Coppell and gordon hill

Part of an exciting team the Doc put together. You wonder what he would have achieved at utd if he had stayed on.

Or if the Doc had stayed off Mary Brown
