I've seen the same thing said about Parker.
I don't entirely agree but I understand the sentiment. Our problem last season was that we had a lack of leadership on the field. Nobody stood up and took responsibility for eeking out results. You only need a couple of players in this capacity imo as they'll spread the enthusiasm to everyone else on the field. There were times lat season when Arshavin was crying out for a verbal b*-/h-slapping, but nobody in our team was capable of it.
I fully appreciate why fans would be against the likes of Barton coming, but I'd rather Barton than another nimble and gentle artiste joining us.
That said, it's hard to envisage Wenger signing Barton.
The guy belongs in a zoo. Here is a player that should never ever be allowed on a football pitch again.
The mans a disgrace to the game and a disgrace to anyone that plays or follows the game.
The one acceptable occasion to boo players: when they are Joey Barton. He is disgusting.

if gallas was playing for arsenal last season you may well have won the league !! and would defo have won the CC.

Sadly, I agree with this. Just insofar as we'd have been a stronger outfit for gaving Gallas than not.

So going by that logic then shouldn't Spurs re-sign Jimmy Greaves or someone so you could win the league again?
ive got to disagree with the gallas statement, THE MAN CRIED ON THE PITCH!!!!! he was an embarrassment for the team if we kept Gallas i think it would have done more harm mentally than it would have done better ability wise.

I could have cried that day too. Everyone has their limits as to how much disgusting bias they can take from the FA's servants. Sure, he could have been more professional but from a strictly human viewpoint, I understand where he was coming from that day.
Furthermore, Gallas was seen as a disruptive influence because of his rows with players. Yeah, how great was it to see Arshavin give the ball away as non-chalantly as he liked last season without fear of anybody taking him to task?
Not to mention that Gallas was involved in a major dispute with Nasri, who is now set to completely stab us in the back.
Aside from all of that, we missed him HUGELY on the pitch last season.

Not really. We more or less let in the same amount of goals last season as we did the season before.
I wouldn't mind him at Arsenal. I know what he's done in the past is wrong, but he actually sounds like an intellectual person, and understanding after his antics.

With Almunia as opposed to Scezesny in nets.
but we also had squillaci

He rarely played though unlike Almunia the season before last who was more-or-less an ever present.
This is like poker, but instead of seeing and raising amounts of money, we're using awful Arsenal footballers instead.
haha nice analogy. squillaci may not have been a regular, but when he did appear, he was really bad!

My favourite Squillaci mishap was his two yard misplaced passes. A confidence-lacking donkey he was.

It vastly annoys me, these snobs who say, he will tarnish our great clubs name etc etc, hasnt not winning a trophy in 6 years done that already?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Got news for you - winning nothing does not 'tarnish' a club in any way. It's disappointing, nothing more.
People need to be less childish and give up behaving like drama queens where the 'no trophies' is concerned. Non-plastics and supporters over a certain age will be very familiar with not winning anything.
If winning is the only reason to support a club, then that supporter supports winning, not the club doing it.
Which is pretty much the definition of 'plastic'.
