Agree about Fratton Park! Mind you, my last trip was losing 2-0 with Ramis as our manager, need I say more.
Regarding OT, I like the ground but it just didn't have that wow factor I was expecting. Been a few times but this seasons visit was my best visit there!
I remember going to Fratton Park before the away end had a roof. I don't think I thawed out until I got home. The place has character though. OT is just like a massive McDonalds.
Colchester United's old ground was quite horrible, was like an old metal shed with every thing falling apart.
I love the old grounds that some of you say are crap. They have character and soul and yes, some of them are dumps, are badly in need of repair and a lick of paint, but the fans of those clubs will say they are OUR dumps. Give me an old ground with character and history and I'll take it any day over the soulless, breeze block stadia that abound today. They are so samey you could be almost anywhere.
I’ve been penned in at the old Den, been through those terrraced houses to get to into Kenilworth Road and stood on that embankment at Plough Lane with portaloos actually on the terrace. I’ve been behind pillars at Goodison Park and Villa Park. Fulham wouldn’t be the same without the Cottage in the corner of the ground. The supermarkets at Burnden Park and also at Boothferry Park were the forerunners of grounds with hotels in one corner
I have fond memories of all the old crappy grounds
. . . and to answer the question I think Colchester's old ground at Layer Road is probably the worst ground I've been to.
Upton Park is the worst
Loftus road is close second but because they have westfield its better than Upton Park..
Wigan's old ground at Springfield Park took some beating, believe me
Hello Kitty, How are you? I've got an article up at the moment (rare for me) which I would like to get the Sheff Weds perspective on. Have a look.
Great article Chelsea, ah them was the days.
I don't like OT. It feels incredibly sterile. The announcer chap was singing songs before kick off. Pure embarrassing.
.....................................
You have blatantly just made that up. See you are a scouser...typical talking absolute bollox. I have been to OT loads of times and never heard the announcer singing songs before a game.
I have been to Anfield and trust me I may be biased but OT is far better
Ever been to the Base....Ball Ground.......I can still smell the pi$$.
As for away......the shittty ground with the pick seats in Snottingham for me ......but hey I'm bias
Klansfield
Can you remember this Igor?

Selhurst Park is a good rubbish ground. Arthur Waite stand old school but good, the new stand is nice and the one down the other goal holds about 6 rows of seats!
Best ever day at football there too - 6-2 Kilnsmann x4 to ensure we wouldn't get relegated!
agree with IGOR remember going to the baseball ground early 70s, as we approached the ground seing the corrugated sheets at the back of the stand flapping in the wind, if ever there was a case for health and safety laws to be brought in that was it
Villa Park itself is fine, but the area around it is horrible. Really, really horrible.
Lesthered.
There was a big lad singing take me home over the pa at Old Trafford. Feel free to apologise in your own time.
What game was that then? As i go to most games and i can't remember it...not exactly a regular thing at OT. And even if it did happen once hardly a reason to say its a bad ground seen as though it is one of the best grounds in. Europe and yes better than Anfield
Well it's happened three seasons in a row for me. Unless they obviously save the big fat bloke just to sing when Liverpool are in town.
Take me home gets played over the sound system. The PA doesn't start singing it.
I don't personally like it but hell i think You'll never walk alone' is cringeworthy personally
Oxford away one New Years day back in the 80's what a tip and it would have needed a braver man than me to go in their toilets
St Andrews is a dive, and in the middle of nowhere to boot
