4 minutes gone and Fletcher goes off

Theres an £8m, 21 goals so far this season with a bottom half team, Championship hitman in Jordan Rhodes sitting on the bench.

We bring on, chase a crisp packet, about to be released from the MLS Kenny Miller- absolutely f ucking scandalous

I'm fed up feeling like this with Scotland. Why are we always asking the same questions.

posted on 22/3/13

Said that at the time. Give Rhodes the chances Miller had and we could've been 3-0 up at half time. It wouldn't have mattered that Snodgrass got sent off.

Hutton, Adam, Miller.

Three reasons why we're terrible.

You can probably add Maloney to that list too.

Snodgrass played well I thought but you're right, he was always going to walk at some point. He should not escape criticism for that tackle as it was stupid and so obviously the game changing moment.

You always hope that a new manager will turn things around and pick the best players for the job.

Turns out Strachan is just another manager to pick the same old suspects who have been letting the nation down for years.

The same old suspects. They must see the new manager turn up and think "Ach, safe as hooses anyway as who else is he gonnae pick". Sad thing is, if they keep giving the job to somebody from the old skool, then they are probably right.

Needs someone in from abroad, with fresh ideas, not influenced by nae cant, who will only take the job if he given TOTAL reign.

Sick of the same auld schecht

Kayal . Spot on

Did u read the reportabout the guy that burst by 5 security G&Ts tae wave his ticket in Strachans face. "£30 I pad to watch that shîte" he said ... Well said that man

In fairness to Strachan it was brave to give Hanley the nod and, goal aside, he was dire. However I hope he sticks with him as he is our only real hope at CB now given that Wilson's career has (predictably) stagnated.

However playing the three I mentioned above is just unforgiveable. Miller shouldn't be near the squad. I know he's been restricted with Russell being injured and Griffiths being a racist, but surely there is someone else out there?

And Charlie Adam should be banned from football forever for being awful.

What's happened to the boy Bardsley? I thought he was always decent when he played but he's disappeared.

Wi griffo being a racist

That cheered me up

posted on 22/3/13

Bardsley hasn't done anything wrong, just being kept out by someone who his gaffer in England considers to be a better player.

It's the midfield where it's gash. Just nobody who can put the foot on the ball, slow it down and then play the simple ball.

I know everyone called him "The Crab", but Barry Ferguson is one of the most underrated players from Scotland.

I'll put the tin hat on...

We don't need someone to "slow it down " We need to speed it up. We need to stop taking 3 touched to control it. We need more movement.. We need more pressure on the opposition and stop dropping off when we lose posession

Nimmo - I rated Barry Ferguson highly.

I'd kill for a player of that quality in the team right now.

Disappointed with the way Dorran's career has gone. I had high hopes he'd become a big player in the EPL and it's not really happened. I've never rated McArthur to tell the truth but people rave about him and maybe I'm missing the hype?

I would like to kick Charlie Adam in the balls.

Esc - we got caught out all the time in that first half because players were taking too many touches - Ferguson in his prime would have shifted the ball about far better and, with them being on the up, would have helped us keep posession until the inexperienced players settled.

LNS, you speak some sense there, Ferguson was a ridiculously underrated player

He may not be the best with the ball but fluck me Scotland miss Brown in games like that. Dorrans and McArthur aren't international class to be honest. Adam is a waste of a career and Gary Caldwell is himself, that's enough of a slagging itself.

Lets go down the Wales route now before its too late:

Forrest
Griffiths
Russell
Mackay Steven
Rhodes

Get these boys in and involved now before we waste another campaign, and for the love of god... Learn how to life YOUR FLUCKING HEAD AND SPREAD THE PLAY!!!!!

Esc - you need a player like Fergie to slow it down and make the intelligent pass, not just blooter it and hope for the best. Broon next to Fergie always worked well. You had the enforcer which allowed the player to do what he does best. I had hoped that D.Fletcher would take Fergie's place, but injury and illness has fecked that one up.

Spot on Esc. We need a total overhaul of the way we are playing football. It's all about speed and power. We have fat little fools like Maloney and Hanley. They are just not gonna cut it!

Spot on NNH. None of the lift the head and look. It was always, always drummed into us; play with your head up. FFS, now it just seems to be head down and run as fast as you can in the opponents direction!

LNS, with the way some of our players play with their heads down they should be gold medalists in the 100M sprint

I don't disagree. But u don't need to slow it down to do that. U need to speed it up. Less touches. Faster passing and movement. It's the only way to move teams about and open them up. A good player will always find space and time

Esc - just like Barry Ferguson

Good players know when to speed it up and slow it down. Ferguson did that. Like I said, that first 20 minutes we were crying out for a player to put his foot on the ball and just settle us down.

Now we have McArthur doing whatever it is he does, Dorrans going into his shell and Maloney running about like a wee doll before doing nothing at all.
