I don' want to big myself up, but...I could'a been a contender.

Raul?

in all seriousness though Gabriel Batistuta

Depends when you're talking from.

Pele and Maradona never won it as they weren't eligible.

Henry was unlucky. He hit his peak around the same time as Ronaldinho and Zidane.

I don't think there was a season where he really deserved it. 2003? I honestly think Ruud had more of a shot. Possibly in 04 though.

Scary how good Batty's goalscoring record for both club and country was.

Exactly. Best player never to win a Ballon D'or.

How he got a move to Real Madrid I'll never know

He was world class.

Of what I've seen over the past 10 years I'd say Henry.

SKA, then the answer to the op should be who is better out of Maradona and Pele? Then we'd get an answer as they're easily the two best to never win it.

So many players have never won that title, in fairness.

Shoulda taken that into consideration,

Good shout, Mex. I'd have to agree with SKA, though.
Maradona for me.

If we are talking about since every player in the world has been eligible I'd opt for Xavi as the best to never have won it.
