Was going to write about this last night, but couldn't be bothered.

I watched the whole Brazil vs. Russia game - was a good game to watch!

Neymar, however, was absolute dog shít. Every time he got the ball he tried to do something special and lost it every time. He bearly has a first touch and his shots were very poor. He's greedy and thinks he's 20x the player he actually is.

Fair enough, he looks good playing a team of no-ones from South America, but put him up agaisnt a reasonable team and he really struggles.

OVERRATED.

I have a flashy name

Am I world class?

In answer - not for me. Everytime I've seen him I've been massively underwhelmed. Ronaldinho still outshines him for me and Ronaldinho is a few years past his peak now.

Hulk came on and looked 100x the player that Neymar is.

Hulk was qulaity.

No where near world class. Messi was world class at his age as was Ronaldo. Even fabregas was world class at 21.

Ive only seen Neymar when hes played over here, vs Russia, England and Olmypics, Hes useless. I wouldnt want him on the pitch from what ive seen. Much rather Lennon any day.

Did anyone see what Joey Barton tweeted about him?

'' Neymar is the footballing version of Justin Beiber good on youtube but when you see him live he is cat pi ss''

ha ha.......joey b......!!!!

been poor, the admittedly few times i've seen him.

NOT FOR ME.

Yeah not anything special that I have seen for him aswell tbh... I think if he moved to Real or Barca then I will judge him

There's so many reasons why a player cant replicate his club form when he's playing for his country. He still is only 21 remember and there must be a reason why Barcelona & Real Madrid are both sniffing around him. I doubt they'd be fooled by a flashy haircut or a few skills on the ball. He will get better in the next few years. Consistency is the hardest thing to get as a footballer player. Only two have it in this world in Ronaldo and Messi.

He bearly has a first touch

you may not rate him but to say that is quite frankly ridiculous

against italy hulk was shocking and neymar had flashes of brilliance (oscars goal)

falir players are prone to being inconsistent, until neyma plays brilliantly in just about every game like CR, messi, iniesta then he cant be classed as world class imo, question is does he have more potential than messi at the same age? i think he does

He's rubbish TRFC.

Aaron Lennon is better than him

Until you've proved yourself you can't be considered WC. He hasn't done it in a tough European League yet, or v CL opponents. Plenty of Brazilian players have had his tag and flopped later on - Denilson anyone?

posted on 26/3/13

He must have some potential to get the likes of Real and Barcelona interested..

On the other hand Pele highly rates him so maybe he isn't that good.

Cavani as well, reminds of Andy Caroll..

Robinho could easily go in that category....so much potential, so relatively little impact

Aaron Lennon is better than him

So just because some Tottenham fans don't rate him suddelny now your saying we think Lennons better?

Your such a fool.. He does need to proove himself however and I do think he will get his move then we will see how he does and if he is anything special.

Try reading up thicko and see who first mentioned Aaron Lennon.

Lennon is a winger. Neymar is not.

Silly comparison. I think it was said aas a joke earlier on in this thread.

His goal record for both Santos and Brazil is impressive, although he needs to prove himself in Europe obviously

posted on 26/3/13

Pretty sure Defoe would have a good record if he played for Santos too...

posted on 26/3/13

does defoe have a good record for his national side?

posted on 26/3/13

19 goals in 53 appearences (mostly as a sub).

Meh.

Defoe has scored more international goals than Neymar.

Defoe is better
