yeah they are man united though.
head and shoulders the best team in the prem.
we are not manchester united, are not head and shoulders the best team in the prem, and probably never will be.
we certainly dont have the world wide revenue and appeal to be able to assemble a squad as good as theirs - which if truth be told is absolutely unreal.
That's not the point Chronic.
The point is building a squad to meet your objectives which is top 4. our squad is unbalanced and has been so for years. That is definitely not beyond us.
Also, accepting a place and not aspiring to be better is not a good place to be in, in any walk of life. We should all have aspiration to be better.
When Paul Merson knows our need for a striker is obvious, it's obvious...!
the squad is not particularly unbalanced. the problem is more the quality of player more than position of player.
the exception being proper coverage for bale and lennon
we have two right backs, a left back and two players who can fill in there. 5cbs. 2 good quality keepers.
2 dms.
2 or 3 cms
3 players who can play behind the striker
2 strikers.
its just the wingers that are light.
so actual balance is not an issue.
the issue is the QUALITY of the player.... e.g two poor strikers
that quality thing is what makes man u's squad so ridiculously good. they have about 20 top class players.
we probably have about 13
I agree with you to the extent that the cover should be quality but I think that there is quality out there to bring in.
I think AVB has done well with the CFs this season considering their form and injuries and moving Bale in has been genius. Sigurdson on the left has been good too and I hope to see more of him there. The width issue is a big one for me and the lack of like for like cover on the wing is awful.

i have said before i have no problem with andros townsend being on loan.
he is playing every minute of every game at qpr and aactually getting good, rather than warming our bench.
if we had andros townsend at spurs, would he be playing today? no.
will he play this weekend for qpr? yes.
long term it is the correct decision. unfortuantely spurs fans are some of the most short term thinkers in football, which is baffling, considering the culture of the whole club is about steady, long term progression

Confirmed no Lloris for Spurs #MDL
it takes a mountain of transfer cash to have that kind of depth and pay first XI wages to squad players.
