add too that lloris back soon as poss.....
lennon and bale.
bale is the best player but lennon is the most important player at spurs for the shape of the team. MUST keep him fit
Lads - I agree with Chronic as we have struggled without Lennon and we need to play with pace & tempo in our remaining fixtures.
This season we have done well considering the inujuries we have had but we have also done well to avoid the likes of Lennon and Bale missing too many games.
So in many respects we been unlucky with the likes of Kaboul, Ekotto, Parker, Sandro all missing at least half a season, but THANK GOD that Bale & others have stayed fit
sandro has been the big miss.
kaboul yes.. but we have missed him all season, whereas sandro he was the best player for the first half of the season, and then suddenly was out for the season.
yeah sandro missing has been key....was in fine form b4 his injury.
Just think what we could do with
Sandro, Kaboul and two decent strikers
The general strength of the squad means the injuries even out over the season (as we are seeing) . However, the squad is still sufficiently fragile that it would only take 3-4 strategically selected players to get injured long-term, and the season would be very painful indeed.
its amazing we are where we are given our misfiring front line.....
add on another 10/15 goals and boy....we cld be all but sewn up for CL now....and cld just focus on the europa hunt....
Fack me, 15 goals from either striker in the league would fire us 2nd no question!
Jesus!
Strikers
"its amazing we are where we are given our misfiring front line"
And less CM creative threat this season.
Modric + NEW STRIKER (or equivalents) is the missing piece of the puzzle (at least for not having to fight for the PL 4th place Cup every May) .
The lack of NEW STRIKER for the last couple of seasons has cost us dear.
forlone. nice to see you buddy
we do have a new striker.
his name is adebayor.
no-one could have forseen him being quite so useless
Chronic
Aderbarndoor should be arrested for claiming money under pretences, his second touch is a tackle. I've seen rapists with a better first touch.
I've resigned myself to never in my life seeing a Spurs team with NEW STRIKER in it.

this is far too complimentary.
he has been a bit of a joke this season in all honesty
Wish he adopted the toe punt style!
"I've resigned myself to never in my life seeing a Spurs team with NEW STRIKER in it."
CL piggy trough for one season would cover the transfer fee.
But their wages would require continual CL participation (at least until new WHL is ready) .
thing is...last few seasons...we've been soooooo close to really being able to challenge/secure regular T4 and compete for trophies.....
and no shiney new striker has been the biggest drawback.........
The number of points will decide 3rd and 4th PL places

Just heard JD is out for the next 3 matches
"Lesser clubs have picked up great strikers for a low fee in recent years, Spurs haven't even tried."
Scouting network has been poor in the past 4 or so years.
But looklike said it is being reconstructed from the ground up (starting a couple of months ago) .
