ibrox i'll tell you what, if goodwillie comes back up the road for talks rangers better offer a decent contract or ( imo at least ) it would be humiliation for the club.

yep, seems utd now want over 3m from rangers.

Talk about moving the goalposts.

Don't get the sense in not offering an extra £300k? or so for miller but bidding over £2m for goodwillie. Fair enough he has sell on value but miller knows the club the team and would slot in straight away. I'd be more scared of miller starting an of than goodwillie

rangers have now nearly tripled whytes original "valuation" of the player.

how many is that? 7? fs.

I think Utd have been very underhand about this with Rangers, changing the deal as we go up and up (over £3 million, FFS we'll just wait to he washes back up here after failing at Blackburn).

Havign said that, our actions from the beginning have made it easy to see why UTd would do this. It's embarrassing for Rangers Fc and now Dundee Utd FC too.

before blackburns interest, maybe they would have? but it was best to get that case out of the way first i believe.

why is mccoist publicising every bid?

Keny- Everyone knows the nightlife Goodwillie will get in Blackburn, give it 6 months and he'll be back training at Stirling Albion.

TCD- No PR spin, every Rangers fan will have been disappointed by the methods Rangers employed during this, but the facts are Utd wanted £2million and reports say we now need to offer £3million to get him. Surely you can see how that's different from the original quote, and also more than Blackburn have offered.

posted on 2/8/11

also, if utd wanted 2m as they say, why did blackburn need to pay 2.8m?

Utd have been at it all along!

You can't really blame them for auctioning off their player though. The more they can get the better for them. If say they accepted rangers bid maybe blackburn would come back with a bigger offer than that

Westend,

The reports also say Rangers want to pay in installments, now you and I know that is not the same as money up front and, with a bank wrenching tax case in the background-which your chairman has admitted, if found guilty, could send the club into admin-can you blame Utd for not taking that risk???

dos - by all accounts, the fresh bid today is cash up front.

tcd - see my last post.

Todays bid IS cash upfront.
