Tonight doesn't really matter. Either way the league is won. But it's still the Manchester derby so bring it on.

I think City will win it.

I would like to think it doesnt matter but it really does

Revenge might not be the right word but last hurt and we need to do something about that.

well, its not actually. Just saying.

Perfect game for us tonight to bring us out of the self pity we've been going through since Madrid.

And the circumstances couldn't be better for us either. We don't have to go out all guns blazing tonight due to our 15 pt lead either.

I'm going for a 1-1 or a narrow 2-1 to United.

I'll take that Stretford

I know. A draw will feel like a win tonight for us. Strange situation to be in.

United will win this and RvP will score. 18 points ahead at this point tomorrow

Fergie will put a team out not to lose.

We won't set out to get a draw. Not a chance. We'll want to win it but we'll go about that aim in a more mature way than "all guns blazing" approach that City seem to prefer.

City have struggled this season against teams that get tight on Silva and deny them space in behind. I'm sure we'll do this and hit them on the break.

As long as we don't lose, I'll be happy. Of course I'd prefer a win but it's never easy in a derby.

and that will be our downfall again RBW, we tried that last season and it didn't work. We need to do what we usually do, and play to win. City aren't exactly in the best of form. Saying that, I expect Welbeck and Jones will be starting & you'd pretty much put your house on Valencia starting.

I think it's going to be a boring 0-0 draw.

Jay......you say that about Welbeck and Jones like it's a bad thing.

I'd much rather than Danny in the team tonight ahead of Young or Nani. Those two are in awful form and at least Welbeck is playing well away from the box. His work rate and link up play is streets ahead of those two. And he's a salford lad. He knows what derbies are all about.

And Jones in midfield defensively makes a lot of sense. I'd imagine he'll be Silva's shadow tonight.

On Valencia you may have a point......but he might surprise us and start Nani on the right.

Come on Reds !!!

I didn't mean it to come out like a bad thing, I actually think Welbeck will do a fantastic job again tonight. Either him or Jones will be told to do a job on Toure/Silva IMO. It depends where Jones plays, don't think I'd like to see him in CM again.

We are in the league. Unbeaten since Norwich(?)

You simply can't second guess Fergie. His team selections are impossible to predict. I think that has been both good and bad for us this season.

Good for keeping our squad fresh and being able to sustain our form.

Bad for team fluency and exciting football.

He's the real tinkerman in fairness. But he wins things whilst doing it.

Its Danny from Longsight, Manchester?

Maybe it is actually a genius ploy in that, if even he doesn't know what team he's playing, what hope do his opposition have You can bet that a lot of team focus on stopping Rooney or RvP, and then Fergie goes and drops them! He's just a genius

...I'll keep telling myself that.

We'll beat them tonight but they'll score first

De Gea

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Jones/Clevs
Giggs

Rooney
Welbeck

---

I reckon we'll see something like that, though we'll probably end up with Lindegard playing left wing with RvP in defence knowing SAF

Jay, De Gea will play CM for his distribution

You know if we end up winning the title early, which seems likely. We should play a complete joke of a team at some point. De Gea and Lindegard up front and Jones in goal.

Unless we're looking on course to break 100 points

as funny as this would be, we'd probably get docked points for doing this.
