Gonna be a night filled with rematches
2 on 1 handicap seems a set up for a Ziggler cash in.
some of us are on the mania thread chatting
Well, this has to go down as one of the greatest Raws of the PG era simply for the crowd.

Crowd was better at last years Raw after Mania. The randomness of the chanting was funny at first, but it quickly became annoying..... crowd last year managed to stay on point, make it about the content rather than themselves. Think the 'we are awesome' chant can attest to that
Don't get me wrong, i'd take that atmosphere over a dead one anyday of the week, and it was great how it brought the commentary to life aswell (it seems where one comes the other follows) but at the same time i'd equally grow sick of that every week.
But anyway, content wise, i see with WWE having backed themselves into a corner via Cena, we're back to the 'Cena gets KOed on TV, challenger stands over him trimuphantly' era. Fantastic
I'm glad they gave ziggler the title last night and not at mania, it was a far better show with that crowd

-----------
They chanted yes at everything...
The chanting through the sheamus vs orton was there as no one cares for either of them, hence the chanting for everyone in the ring and at ringside but them, then the thank you big show chant
The word yes doesn't originate from the Daniel Bryan character you know, it has a vast history having been used for centuries upon centuries. That crowd converted it back to it's original form as being a way of expressing approval, was awfully clever stuff
Yes i'm aware of that, and i found it annoying. My idea of any crowd is to amplify the spotlight on the production, not steal it and make it about themselves.
sí sí sí sí sí sí sí sí sí sí
That crowd was the best ever simply for making a fairly poor show entertaining. Far better than any other crowd of this era and that's why everyone is talking about it.

It wasn't about themselves, it was about how terrible the match was between 2 very boring wrestlers
Post wrestlemania crowds are normally like that, will be back to normal next week and will be boring as hell again
no british fans = boring crowds
Digby, of course it was about the crowd. It was the expression of a particuplar demographic outright rejecting the product to entertain themselves. Had they been reacting to the match, that would've been different (don't forget Sheamus & Orton are only easy targets to one demographic).
It wasn't like the Sheamus/Del Rio promo last year for instance, that was regular crowd interaction which acknowledged the presence of each wrestler which just happened to see the face getting booed as heavily as the heel.
I agree with you about Ziggler btw, obviously anticipating that reception WWE played that right. Though i found it kind of sad to think WWE has been trying to invoke that reaction out of Cena for the last 10 odd years and a heel can shroll into the building, perform the ultimate heel mehodology to win a championship and get recieved like the companies top babyface for doing it
Because Ziggler is exciting and not a 6'2 baby.
Oh btw, anyone else notice the great reception Ryback got? Wasn't on the 'we'll make a statement' agenda but very well recieved. When he clotheslined Cena at the end you'd of sworn that was Goldberg by the crowds reactions. It just goes to show that the character has potential that people across all demographics clearly recognise
I might need to do a long winded article on him one of these days, he really is WWE's dark horse of the future - his next 12 months are PIVETAL!!!
"I didn't touch you stooopid"
Anyone would have been cheered for levelling Cena.
Ryback was booed throughout his mania match and henry cheered
Sheamus and Orton are actually very good in-ring wrestlers. Just boring characters.
Thought that RAW was excellent and the crowd was fantastic, just a shame that most of that crowd are now going back to the UK and wherever else. I think that crowd would have seriously put in a case for a PPV in the UK or outside USA at least. Summerslam 2014?

I agree, that on it's own wouldn't have been enough to go on. But whenever there was a scenario which fall back on Ryback during the night his name was on peoples minds - positively. Good sign that the companies teatment of him until him hasn't seen him hit alienation point just yet, the strength of his potential (which is the key aspect to this) is still keeping him above water
Must definitely do a piece on Ryback soon
