Is this official or just paper talk? Very sad if true, another career killed by Arsene.

Various media outlets reporting he's going to announce it. Wenger ruined him I agree on that one. He was the reason why we got top 4 in 2009.

He was only 'ruined' by Wenger because he allowed himself to be ruined. Didn't put enough effort in to stay or get fit.

If he does actually retire, it would show that the guy wasn't up for it and just wanted to collect his cheque at the end of the month.
Every football nowdays is trying to prolonge their career. Even those who should retire *cough* Beckham *cough* don't want to retire.

ffs Seedorf is still playing!

Arshavin is only 32, if he's retiring then he has no one but himself to blame, he had it in him to play until he's 38

Arshavin's 1st 2 1/2 seasons were exceptional for us Then the dip in form happened but he was a very good world class signing at one point.

In Arsene We Trust...I'll have the Nacho with cheese please! (U10012)

And Giggs.

Can see this being just a rumour. I'm sure he'll be snapped up by Barcelona, if he hasn't already signed a pre-contract

Seedorf can't be compared to Arshavin. He left his club to go to a much lower league and is doing well! 8 goals in 22 games is nowt to be sniffed at.

He was Liverpools worst nightmare for couple of seasons at anfield. Those 4 goals.

That was one game

What? That one game in which he scored 4 goals which is the main event that you include?

That was actually my point. Every lover of the game find it hard to hang up the boots. Some of them (Seedorf) even move to the other side of the world just to keep playing.
If Arshaving really wanted to play, he would have initiate a move to another club earlier but no. Instead he refused every single offer from other clubs! The guy is just a waste of space!

Arshavin the most unfit player I have ever seen

Maybe there's been some unannounced circumstances going on for a while now which has seen him unable to get fit and show that genius we all know he was once capable off? His father died at a young age of heart failure.

Or perhaps he has just lost interest, he's always described himself as someone with attention deficiencies.

Either way, I love the little guy. Played most of his career with a smile, which is a very rare attribute. I'd trade 1000 bad games for that one moment against Barca

Ridiculous to blame Wenger for Arshavin's failings. Absolutely desperate.
