He's done, he'll be third choice next year when Begovic signs
The decision to drop Szczesny was right and probably long overdue, but the facts are that he needs competition to determine how far he an progress in the club.
Szczesny has all the attributes needed to be a top keeper. But what he lacks is focus and patience. Get a top, experienced keeper in the summer and lets see how Shezzer reacts. If he bottles it, fine we have a good keeper anyway. If he's up to the task, we have strength in depth.
I feel United fans are too harsh with Szczesny. I know some dont rate him and fair enough but some just criticise him because we criticized De Gea. That was over a year ago and they should get over it.
Szczesny is clearly a top young keeper
Szczesny's distribution is pretty embarrassing. You can see that even on U21 level. And the less said about his kicking and long shot stopping the better.
Survives on his 'Arsenal personality' , constantly playing up to the fans.
I don't quite know why I hope Szczesny fails but I hope he leaves this club.
He is a pretty well rounded keeper, and I think he definitely had potential to be better than De Gea. His regression means it's now unlikely, but you look at his handling, command of the area and organisation and he's been good (not this season, though).
I think his attitude is pretty good - yes, he's cocky, but that's a prerequisite for any top keeper. Maybe a little too much, or maybe his injury has set him back. Who knows?
Either way, a good, solid keeper should be brought in. I wouldn't mind a bid for Guzan or Begovic if we're looking at Premiership keepers, although I suspect both would be pretty expensive.

That's because they are clueless , like Pride.

Interesting definition of supporter. I remember when everyone wanted Rosicky to leave when he was struggling to regain form after injury. Give the lad time, he's about 7 in goalie years.
I agree about his distribution, though. By far and away the weakest aspect of his game (although, interestingly, his kicking success rate [i.e. percentage which go to a teammate] is about 70%, whereas Fabianski's is lower).
I don't quite know why I hope Szczesny fails but I hope he leaves this club.

Honestly mate, sort it out. Szczesny has along way to go and has been overrated by us gooners craving for a decent golaie after Almunia and Flappianski. But he just needs to sort his head out.
Szczesny will bounce back and become no 1 again, for me he became too complacent, very comfortable with his spot in the team and lead to lack of focus as we saw with some of the goals we conceded. He is a top keeper, only a fool can't see this

The name says it all, come here you
Like fack should we let him bk as no1. let him rot on the bench until he learns for to save simple shots and kick a ball properly.
He cannot deal with long range shots and cannot kick and he is surviving because he is a bit of a character and a fan favourite.
Szczesny has had it the easy way, the fans loved his off the pitch antics, he made them chuckle and showed confidence, when he had a awful game people tear into the back four because for years people were in doubt about our center backs.
If we had a poll now as to who should be number i am sure it would not be all Szczesny but last season it would've been unimaginable for most people to prefer anyone but Szczesny
Being a character doesn't win you trophies. Most Gunners that love szczesny do not love him because he is a class keeper, they love him because of his character and bendtner like confidence. He has cost us at least 2 trophies since 2011. And we might have still been in the Fa cup this season if this clown was not in goal.
Szczesny is 10 times the keeper that De Gea is. Yes we should let him back in the team, he is our best keeper.
He is a pretty well rounded keeper, and I think he definitely had potential to be better than De Gea. His regression means it's now unlikely, but you look at his handling, command of the area and organisation and he's been good (not this season, though).

Dont mention Szez and DeGea in the same sentance.
1 only has 1 weakness and the other has at least 3/4 weaknesses.
Szez is overated because he plays up to the fans.
Chesney is going through a bad patch, but all WUMing aside, I think he has the potential to be a very good keeper. Wenger will keep faith in him i think. You should maybe look for a stop gap though.
(And Chesney is not better than De Gea, just thought I'd add that in)

Thats because he can barely kick it past the Halfway line and usually they only have 1/2 attackers in our half.

6 months ago i would have laughed at this. Not now. It is true. If shezzer cannot up his game, he's out.

Im beginning to hate the word Potential.
Djourou, Bendtner, Senderos, Vela ect all had potential and they are all tripe (Vela might be proving us wrong but it is la liga where forlan was king)
If we want to win things our main XI players should be potential great players.
Szczesny is only 22, still a baby for a goalkeeper
Szczesny's reaction saves are as good as the best in the world.
He has all the potential, such a shame he's regressed over the last 6 months.
Loan him to Real Betis for a season or two.
Similar to Courtouis with Atletico
Yes. Make sure he signs a contract before he goes though.
Problem is Betis' starting keeper any good?

Should we allow Szczesny back in the 11?
