Brian doesn't manage Sean anymore.

Hi SKB first article in ages.
Knew I'd mess it up somehow.

Sorry didn't mean to put you off, just the one at Leeds only has one 'r'. Still i should have been able to infer from the rest of the article who you was talking about.

Do you not think their is a place for him as a squad member, or would you rather go forward with McCormack and Poleon and potentially bring in a top class striker at this level that is needed for promotion? Also what are your thoughts on Somma, contract coming to an end?

When Morrison came I had reservations regarding swapping our top goalscorer for him, but due to the favourable comments that most were posting I was hoping I was wrong. Before Bechio left I was hopeful that we'd make the play offs. I believe McDermott is a good solid appointment and will be good for us.

As an Accountant I believe in numbers and the law of probability says we must get it right some time. This had been going on for 10 years (out of PL). I firmly believe that he can get it right and the laws of probability are on our side.

Regarding Morrison I think theres too much money tied up in him to be a squad member, be happy if he was moved on. Hate to say this but he reminds me off Barndoor Billy.

However I don't see him play every week and only get over 3 or 4 times a year from Ireland. So I bow to those who make the effort and turn up every week in these difficult times,

McCormack and Poleon would be great but I have always like Somma, but cripling injuries means its unlikely anyone would take a punt and offer him a decent contract.

Rant Over thanks for reading

My view on the swap was that it obviously wasn't ideal as Becchio knew what the club was about, was admired by the fans and gave his all whilst being a fairly consistent goalscorer, however i thought it was the closest we came to replacing a quality player by bringing Morison in. Before when we lost Johnson, Gradel, Howson and Snoddy, it was fairly obvious we were going to be a lot weaker, and they were also players for the future.

Also as you are an accountant, what are your thoughts on the IASB as a standard setter and does it have the appropriate enforcement mechanisms in place to ensure countries and companies that adopt IFRS, do so effectively? Don't worry i don't expect a response to this part

Becchio-Morison deal has been a lose-lose for everyone so far.

Do you's think we could swap Morison for Becchio without anyone noticing?..

Morison to Norwich and play in Becchio's shirt and they'll be no worst off!..

Becchio to Leeds in Morisons shirt, then like Beckford Morison could take the credit!.

Mind you, we'd have to be careful nobody here realizes Becchio is in a Leeds shirt, it might start the in fighting again!.

Or just continue it!.

We've still got Varney though, makes up for
losing Becchio........

I think there is still places for Morison, Pearce and Peltier in the squad.

For me Morison would be the target man alongside the more natural goals corners of Adam le fondre and Ross.

Peltier provides steady backup at both RB and CB whilst Pearce would provide cover for my ideal defensive signing, Martin Taylor from Wednesday.

I feel soma should leave with brown, kisnorbo and Connolly. ( although I do feel sorry for soma and kissa as they were both fine players before injury and old age took their toll) maybe Brian could discuss kisnorbo on a player/ coach deal as I feel he has the right attitude and mentality to survive on the coaching staff at et

Hi Jonty its belftw, name is Thomas and I'm from Belfast.
Always seem to have difficulty logging in

I spoke some time ago to you

Hope you are well.

How do you feel about the team at the minute

Lack of Pace always seems to be an issue
Hope Brian can get a few lower league gems
to come to the club. Not hard to find:

ie Paddy Madden - Yeovil Town

Any suggestions yourself

SKB sorry for the delay, great comeback
Obviously in the same game

I said to Jonty we should be looking at hungry lower league players. What do you think?
Good Championship players cost a lot and sometimes
do not measure up

posted on 11/4/13

Yeah hoping to be in the same game at some point

Definitely agree with that last point, look at the likes of Posh who have signed Tyrone Barnett from Crawley and Dwight Gayle who was playing in the Blue square North just last season and he has shown a lot of promise and got a good scoring record.

Whilst of course you do need some experience to compliment these type of players, signing the likes of Green and Norris like we did over the summer who have only really shown in the past they are solid Championship players, doesn't give you much chance of progression. Adam Le Fondre the most notable from Brian McDermott, those are the way forward for us, if we cannot compete financially for the best at this level.

Beckford take the credit....... Jog on!

Becks was twice the player becchio was and created a lot on his own. The so wonder goals were all his own doing. Did becchio ever create his own goal tho

posted on 12/4/13

Why do people keep saying McCormack is a natural goal scorer, if he was he would have over 15 goals by now.

Becchio created a lot of set ups and opportunities for Beckford, Becchio always played second fiddle but chipped in with his own goal tally too.

posted on 12/4/13

Last season he scored 19 this season he has been unlucky with injuries and a lack of confidence

posted on 12/4/13

McCormack is the best player we have. Suffering from a lack of confidence and either played out of position or off the bench, its no surprise that his tally is somewhat less than last season.

Mccormack has always blown hot and cold in his career.

He even considered quitting football at one point his form was so poor.

In my opinion he is not a striker you can reliably pin your hopes on I'm afraid.

Which is why I want a front three of McCormack, Morison and le fondre

Le Fondre? When did he sign?

So you want a striker who blows hot and cold, a striker who blows cold and a sub who doesn't play for us.

Brilliant.

posted on 12/4/13

I want us to sign le fondre from reading which I feel McDermott can do

posted on 12/4/13

I also feel Morison has the ability to score but needs to be in a better team
