United have brought through nobody of any particular merit from their youth system in some time. No great shame about that as it's not easy. Wilshere is the first we've produced good enough to play for us since Cole. Gibbs has the potential to make it, but unfortunately he's more effective on the wing than as a left-back. Afobe looks like he has the x factor, but as we've already witnessed with Emmanuel-Thomas, you can never know until they have actually made it.
United haven't produced anybody for some time now though. And if they think Cleverley or Welbeck will cut the mustard, then you just have to pity their silly judgement.
Yes he did indeed but he improved as a player when he moved to Chelsea and has continued to win trophies whereas Arsenal have won nothing since he left.

Half of the players weren't even ours!
-----------------------------
Nevermind them not being United players. Many of them don't even play professional football...
Agreed Gervinho, it has been a long time since United have bought in a player on the level of Scholes, Beckham, and Giggs from the youth and I don't see either Welbeck or Cleverley reaching those heights at the moment. My point is that when United develop a young player then that player has got more chance of becoming successfull than the ones at Arsenal. Look at Pique and Rossi - both of those players have left United but have left with a winning mentality. O Shea, Wes Brown, Fletcher, and Johnny Evans may not be the most glamourous players but they have all surpassed what most professional players can only dream about

Until Ancelotti won the double, Cole had won no medals at Chelsea. They also came up empty-handed last year so his medal haul since leaving us for Chelsea is hardly glittering, is it?
Since leaving Arsenal for Chelsea he was won a league title, three FA Cups, and a League Cup. Thats five trophies more then what Arsenal have won

Not to mention many of our youth players who don't make the cut go on to have decent careers at other teams.
Shawcross, Richardson, Simpson, Spector, Foster, Ebanks-Blake, and Campbell are just a few off the top of my head.
Shawcross ????
lol !!!!
Don't mention his name in front of the goonies otherwise be ready for a mass goon assault. Although he is THE perfect type of player they need.
