Elmano buying players again

Nothing against Schurrle, but what if the new manager wants to play 4-4-2, and where does this leave Oscar? fighting for one of the 2 central midfield posisions?

AR (why do people insist on changing user names, I cant keep up)

I do agree but just think a manager should buy players he wants not a director of football.

Unless Jose told us to go and buy him

A Manager should have a list of targets, the DOF should then try to get whoever is top of the list as long as he fits the clubs criteria of age etc..

Then work all the way down to Wellbeck at the bottom.

Can't believe we haven't signed a Dembele Fellani type player with physical presence. Wow

A manager would almost certainly be in a stronger position with regards to his tactics and future plans if he was given complete control of transfers. Why are you so for a committee based approach Gazza? the scout may have a better ability to judge player potential but the manager has a better knowledge of his team and what is needed to improve it. Scouts are more important for youth prospects than first team signings

Don't rate him at all.

a poor man's Robben tbh.

Hope he proves me wrong if we sign him...

I'd like to know if anyone has seen Leverkusen more than, let's say 5 times this season. And if so, why

TCW ha this article would be pretty boring if everyone just said they hadn't seen enough of Schurrle to comment on him.

And much truer i'd wager sure that someone here has seen enough to comment though i'm just curious as to why they watch so much Leverkusen

Leverkusen played us last season. Will have been the last time most people will have seen Schurrle play I guess, at club level anyway. Didn't do anything of note. Another direct winger/forward was MOTM in that game...

I would rather keep KDB then spend funds on Schurrle but he is a very good player. The more i watch Fellani the more I think he isnt for us the guy is amazing but basically is playing up front not really a midfielder at all. We need a Yaya Toure type player obviously cant get him Vidal would be great or Bender (lol) playes for Leverkusen aswell

Fellaini has already said he prefers his holding role and feels a bit unusual being so high up the field. I think he'd welcome a holding role with us.

I just regret us not going for Dembele last year He could have solved so many problems for a very reasonable fee.

Schuerrle is a winger who is very fast and can shoot from distance extremely well. Other than that he has no exceptional skills.

Schurrle great addition will be an instant starter.
