Feel the same stuart but not about to lose faith, anything could happen in the next 2 games,Rotherham won't find it easy at Plymouth nor Cheltenham at Exeter and if Aldershot win on Saturday they will need something from the last game at Rotherham and Cheltenham have Bradford last game i think,so much could happen,we just have to get as many points as possible, the roller coaster continues !
To be honest I'm happy that we really now need to go to Bradford and win - GR may have lined us up hoping for a point if Rotherham had lost last night - now it has to be attack, attack, attack!!
Bradford I get the feeling are feeling the pace of a long season and fantastic cup run - they are there for the taking and I have every confidence we will win
Yes im inclined to agree Derby yellow with your comments, although a point at Bradford with alll the others slipping up may still be a good point .Port Vale might slip up on saturday and make it even more interesting . Whatever happens im pleased with our season ,just a bit suprised by the article worded Im happy to let Gary go on the BBC league two website obviously Ben is aware clubs may be looking to replace managers at championship and league two level and as far as i understand Gary is a free agent in the summer !! strange one !! we want both Gary and Kevin in place next season ,in whatever league we finish up in get them contracts Ben please .
I heard the Ben story on radio Derby,i saw straight through it straight away. Its a none story, just a reporter making an issue out of the situation of how Ben employs managers,Ben has since commented that the story was" a little bit naughty". Gary and Kevin have the same arrangement as did Nigel Clough. Nothing has changed from the day they were employed.
I have no fear of them leaving, we are a work in progress which is why quite a few of the new signings are on 2 year contracts.
I also hope the reporter is given no stories from the club in future as he obviously has no respect for Ben or the club and was just making something out of nothing for his own interests !
In addition to what has already been written regarding our chances we must be positive,we could still finish as runners up never mind 3rd ! Vale still have to get points yet and as we all know anything can happen in this division !
Having just returned from Valley Parade I am once again seething at the time wasting and feigning of injury by Evans' team, just like Crawley last season.Fortunately the City players kept their heads.
The home support was fantastic and reminiscent of the Capital Cup exploits but, unfortunately there was no Howard Webb officiating.Instead the officials had left their mikes at home so 2 Bradford goals were disallowed ( I need to see replays to discover why) and a dubious penalty was awarded.
I honestly believe that some referees have adopted an "I'll not be swayed by the home crowd" attitude. So if there is another weakling on Saturday you could get a win on Saturday as 2 of our key defenders are injured.
However we know that our play-off destiny is still in our own hands and this squad is full of winners.
It would be great if both of our clubs contested the play-off final Wembley.
Alas I have seen far too many away games this season to have any optimism for our game at Bradford. That is not me being pessimistic, it is me being realistic.
Fact 1: We have conceded more goals away than anyone in the league.
Fact 2: Only Torquay and Aldershot have won less away.
I'd take a point now from the Bradford game if it were on offer. A defeat might not be a disaster when I get in to my car outside Valley Parade and listen to the results on Sports Report on Radio 5.
Anything could happen on Saturday though with numerous permutations from us, Rotherham, Cheltenham and Northampton either winning, drawing or losing (and yes, even Port Vale too).
Well this is it; it's what all the training & practice sessions have been for! No rehearsals left, we need every player on top form believing they can do it!
All the other games can be forgotten, 2 cup final wins and pray one of the 2 above us blow it!
As for motivation, well worth a look is Al Pacino's speech from Any Given Sunday, I can see Gary delivering this to the players just before they walk out!
As Otep has said anything can happen, hope we get our slice of luck.
Come on you Brewers!
