29million days lost to strike action the year before she came to power. more miners lost their jobs prior to thatcher than during thatcher. british steel produced steel at a higher cost than the competitors. the poll tax was an alternative to a review of the rates system in scotland that wouldve been implemented in its place with increased rates for all.

So look at both sides not your one sided blinkered view! Oh and did we mention the uncollected rubbish, the dead unburied bodies, the history of power cuts, we were in a worse state than europe is now and required a bail out! But hey lets not bother about the facts

You might have had a affluent upbringing Ally, but my family felt her wrath.

The rich flourished under Thatcher and the poor suffered..i doubt you felt the effect Ally. I lost my job overnight because of her.
