Time for devine intervention
Our home form is so frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Home form has been too erratic this season.
Think I'm gonna take notice and support womens synchronized swimming next season!
Would be better for the stress levels.
are we going into the last game 3rd
Blown it big time!!! Can't believe we lost our last two home games!!!
Meath.
Maybe you can't but I can....
And now ---- Brentford at Hartlepool. Should be a banker away.....
I'm sorry but we never strengthened our frontline when we had the chance. We have never scored enough goals and needed another option upfront on numerous occasions. All we have done is strengthen the midfield all season and while I have no problem with that you can only play 4or 5 in midfield we have about 10 to choose from. Upfront we have only 3 choices and it's not enough. I stand to be corrected but of the last 4 goals we have scored 2 have been by defenders and paynters 2 last week.
Lack of goals by the midfield apart from Cotterill is just not good enough.
Rant over
C'mon Hartlepool and bring on brentford next week
18 shots against 4 for them. 8 on target, they had 2. Brilliant free kick for the goal. Enough of the niceties, said for weeks we've played with 10 men, today proved it. They were one of the most $#/^ teams I've ever seen, they were a big strong outfit who kicked, shoved, and just fouled us all game and got away with it. 20 fouls, only one booking yet they should of had at least 3 sent off. Another disgraceful ref, should be took out n shot.
Man of match, easy, their keeper followed by that great thing infront of him. As for us, go d knows.
We could win the league next week or end up in the play offs. Sooooooo mad at minute. Its just like we don't want to go up. And that'll be down to our home form.
Anyway, could be another victory at Wembley against another Yorkshire club...........
So dissapointing - yet another chance to seal promotion and we blew it.
To be fair we did get a few good attempts on goal (18 shots on goal in the game) and their keeper did make a few goods saves.
If Woodsie had been in goal today he probably would have got slated for not saving a shot from 25 yards but hey ho.
The crazy thing is that automatic promotion is still in our own hands however the Brentford game ends today.
I still have faith in the teams ability to get a result in the last game.
What peed me off the most today was the stupid decision to take the players in at the final whistle before the "lap of honour".
Now i dont like to admit this but i waited ten or twelve minutes and still the lads hadnt re-appeared - so i went.
The club did a similar thing last season but thankfully they got back on the pitch a bit quicker.
Ok, if we had won the game then it would have been different - far more people would have stayed but after losing the match the club should have realised that it was a mistake to go in at all and even more silly to expect people to hang about for as long as they did.
That is my rant over.
Whitby...I agree with you entirely so that is us for the firing squad for criticising.... The writing has been on the wall some time, but there is hope yet and it again it is all ifs and buts.. Do not care who has a go at me..... Egg on face of certain people who have done things on the cheap... I would rather have gone into the last game 4 points clear because no Bournemouth have won 6 on trot and Tranmere have lost 5 on trot. Donny lost 3 out of 6....... I was not going to say anything about yet another team shooting and scoring from outside the area.. If it goes TTTTSSSS up next week, I doubt they will mentally recover
BVZ - your comment reminded me of my prediction back in October when i said i had dreamed that we would beat the Blunts in the play off final at Wembley!!!!!!
I hope we can get the automatic place but the other scenario would be too bad really would it.
We went into the play offs last time on a serious downer after the Cheltenham loss and look how we bounced back from that.
You know hound if Donny were loosing 5 nil with 2 mins to go, you would believe that they would win. That is why I stay away because of games and results like the two last home games.
Brentford having scored today now have 1 goal more scored than us so even if they lose 2-1 they would only have to beat us by a single goal as the goal difference would be the same and they have scored 1 more. B ut at least as it stands a draw would be enough
ionly - i only (see what i did) say it how it is.
Was there any untruth in what i wrote?
5-0 down with 2 mins to play - even i would have a job getting something out of that.
However, i bet you would have liked me to be in your dressing room when i was a player.
You were (at youthy ) But yes I never would accept defeat.... AND HERE WE ARE, many years since we stopped playing and boy does it hurt when Donny Loose... Personally I would have walked out on the final whistle. Yes they have had a decent season but in the main it has been away... Should have signed some forwards,
Of course it hurts when we lose.
But, you have to bounce back.
We are well equiped to go and win at Brentford.
PHEW - Reprieve 1 each at Hartlepool. All out for win, nothing else will do next week
