I still don't believe he is the right coach for this team, but fair play to him, we've been racking the wins up recently, albeit scraping them, so he deserves credit for that.
If he gets top 4 then no, but for me he has one more season to spend some money and show that he can still win trophies and challenge the big boys If we don't make top 4, which is still very much a possibility, he should walk immediately.
Yes we want despite 8 games wins. We also want Giroud out one of our best goal strikers this season
Yep - still want him out. Does not instil any mental strength or backbone. We may stumble our way to CL - but this result is papering cracks.
I hope the board give him a new 5 year contract and he stays as long as possible.
yet again he would appear to be guiding us to a CL place for next year

Yet again that is less than what I want/feel our club deserves. Unlike some fans I haven't yet settled for challenging for the CL spot every season and pathetically whimpering out of cups.
Nothing has changed.

so are you saying any manager in the prem that does not win a major trophy should lose his job despite getting that team into the CL for 12 years running ?
I've been a member of the Wenger in brigade all season, although I'll admit doubts did creep in mid-season.
I just can't see anyone out there who could come in and do a better job with the resourcesd available.

When a manager turns a premiership winning side into a trophyless shambles for 8 years, yes, they should be sacked.
Notice KPPR disappeared as soon as we started winning?
^But Wenger was the one who turned us into a Premiership winning side in the first place.
We're behind Chelsea, Man Utd, and Man City, all of whom have a far greater investment capacity.
I'm not saying Wenger is without his flaws, and I too have been very frustrated with his decision-making at times, but if we achieve top 4 again, we have to concede he has done well given his comparative lack of resources.
Wenger can stay for life.
Yes I still want him out.
I said earlier in the season that if we somehow managed to get 4th fans will think its a good season and Wenger has done a good job.
Bottom line is that wengers teams will always crack in big games.
Stu Always respect your opinion and I can understand where you are coming from.
For me, Wenger will always be admired for what he has done, but that doesn't give him the right to remain here forever.
However lets not act as if we went without success under George Graham (UEFA Cup winners + Runners up 2 seasons prior to Wenger joining), nor act as though the defensive discipline and backbone Graham instilled in our team has had nothing to do with Wengers early success.
I've always maintained I'd be happy for him to see out the remainder of his contract but what he is 'achieving' with this (and previous seasons) squad is by no means a success. Imagine if Guardiola hadn't left but was to go on a barren spell of 8 years without a trophy. He wouldn't have made it to four years despite being an idol to the board and the fans. Only here at Arsenal do we accept past glory over present failures.
We have spent over £100mil on players in the past 2 seasons, we can't cry about other teams investment when we spend our money so poorly. Papering over over obvious weak points in our squad, pushing our finance into over-paying average players. Fair enough that has been funded by selling our key players, but Wenger has to take some of the blame in letting key players lose faith and be shipped out as opposed to losing deadwood, to create money for investing in the squad.
We should not be proud of possibly achieving 4th.
It's been a disgraceful season
you are a disgrace Castor

Bradford City, Blackburn Rovers. Need I'd say more ?
We are in a sort of 4th place comfort zone. I can see how this appeals to a lot of our fans but I can't actually see us challenging for any trophies under Wenger.
I do feel that we could do with a fresh approach which might make us more clinical. We just don't perform in the games that really matter. This has been the problem for the last 8 years.
So I would be quite pleased if Arsene decided to call it a day at the end of the season.

Really?
Should we now list teams who have changed manager and gone on to have success? What a stupid comparison.
We can only spend money we earned, Ron.
