Yes Santi was poor today but so were most of our team.
However, there is no chance in hell that Wenger will drop out best player
Cazorla cant get a rest. Sorry.
A week rest is enough.
Giroud played most games for us, 46.
We can play Cazorla against United but if he's as impotent as we was today it won't be much use.
We always do this to players, we overplay them until they get injured and suffer the consequences. In a long epl season Wenger has asked too much of Cazorla. But Wenger's top 4 predicament makes him irrational when it comes to rotating players, key ones especially.
It would be a positive move to shake the team up giving Podolski, Ox and Wilshere the chance to show what they're capable of. And it might just save Cazorla from burnout that could last into next season.
The season is nearly over and he has to play all the games.
Wilshete hasn't done anything of note and can not lead our midfield just yet
Agreed. We've relied far, far too much on him, and it looks like the effects may be catching up on him. We could rest him, but it'd be a risk.
Szcz
Sagna - Mert - Kos - Gibbs/Nacho
Arteta - Ramsey
Theo - Rosiçky - Ox
Pod
Or Theo in the middle () with Ox right and Pod left. Not a bad side, not much craft though but very direct.
An on-form Wilshere is equally if not more capable of leading our midfield. He did not play too well against Norwich and Everton, but playing alongside the stabilising influence of Rosicky who moves the ball on quicker than anyone else for us might just be the ticket to getting Wilshere firing again.
Cazorla is awful and needs to be dropped for Wilshere.
"An on-form Wilshere is equally if not more capable of leading our midfield"
Maybe in a few years but he is light years away from Santi
Stop making excuses, cazorla was ineffective simple as that. He is a top player but inconsistent

Funny thing is we have looked our best this season whenever jack is not in the team
I was thinking of playing Rosicky out wide with Wilshere in cam Sergio but other than that the same.
I'll bet any money that Gervinho gets the nod up front.
We looked brilliant today when Jack wasn't in the team, didn't we

What was the score?

Don't agree with that. Cazorla is a lovely little player but is not in that elite category that Wilshere is capable of getting into. Fractionally slow alas.
The scoreline is not relevant to the performance which you were talking about when you made your first comment. Did we look brilliant today, yes or not?
We may not have looked great going forward but we were still solid.
Jack in midfield consistently runs into traffic or bundled of the ball leaving us exposed
Hopefully a week rest will galvanize the boys against United.
If jack starts in midfield v united we will get opened up
Santi is streets ahead of Wilshere. If Wilshere ever reaches Santi's level, I will be a very happy man.
No we were absolute pants. It was the worst performance I have seen from us this season apart from the Norwich game which Jack also strangely did not make an appearance in.
It was also laughable that we lost some balance in central midfield after Wilshere sub. Right now Jack does not contribute as much as he should.
Cazorla's relentlessly poor passing today was what made us look solid.
And how many games has jack played in which our midfield has gotten completely swamped.
Jack, Santi and Arteta does not work. Like Kam said, I hope jack reaches Santi level but its not even a contest at present
Jack is played as an attacking midfielder by Wenger and he has displayed f all in terms of creativity or the potential to score goals.
