Billy has had one lucky promotion, Rev. That's all. He's achieved nothing much in his career and his once again showing that he's an overly cautious bottler.

Didn't take long.

They can only keep the irrational hatred under wraps for so long. A couple more of the usual suspects will be on over the next few days blaming Billy for everything that's wrong in the world.

I don't really give a toss about SOD and I don't get why just because we've had a pretty poor run of late he becomes an issue again.

Why can't we just move on and concentrate on the present? We're always either looking back or looking 5 years in to the future.

Careful Jacko... you are nearing 40 posts... This plays havoc with Rameses's stats

We would not want that would we now !

otherwise they will accuse us of meaningless posts and threaten to change the rules.

BD also gets my full support. Not much more he could have done with a team that he mainly inherited and the erratic performance of our strikers.

SoD gets my thanks and I wish him well but in all honesty I don't believe we saw enough to say that he would be able to get us in to the prem.

What ever happens in the next 2 games I think we are in a good position to enjoy next season (which I fully expect will be in the Championship).

agreed....

There will be changes in the summer. Players offloaded and new ones arriving.

Hope Lewis doesn't go to Derby.

Leeds will be in for him I reckon

To be honest if he keeps playing like he is then I think we are best to let him go. Great lad and wish him the best but when we have really needed his goals its just not worked out.

Got to keep hold of Lewis - certainly can't let him go to the wrong end of the A52

I still think O'Driscoll is a very good manager despite relegation with Brizzle. I thought he was a weird choice for Forest as he is a long-term shoestring type manager, whereas Davies gets results sooner. I expect O'Driscoll to get Brizzle back up in pretty short order and if Clough left Derby he would be one I would be happy for us to go for.

Forest are in a different position and the expectations, not just hopes, are for promotion sooner rather than later. Your owner will expect it next season, assuming you don't somehow sneak it this. But of the teams coming down, Reading will be very strong and could well walk it. QPR may go kaput but the third relegated team will have a very powerful squad which if they don't panic and sack their manager would also be hard to compete against - Wigan with Martinez still in charge, for example.

So it'll be tough and there will be pressure on the likes of Forest and Leicester who have splashed a bit of cash. Davies doesn't like expectation, he likes to project any success as being achieved against the odds, and it will be interesting to see how he handles being one of the favourites to get promoted.

It's not really about SOD - I just don't rate Billy that highly. I thought I was being proved wrong, but now I'm not really sure. I think we were unlucky yesterday, but I do think he's just been overly cautious far far too often and there are signs of it again. I'm not that optimistic that he'll ever get us promoted. I hope I'm wrong. A lot of you are talking about it as though we're as good as guaranteed to get promoted next season with Billy at the helm. I wish I shared that belief, but I don't.

Dont't take SHH's pint, Rev, he'll go mental!

It's not over this season guys (quite yet!). So don't be too down in the dumps.

It is true that BD and the team did benefit from a lot of luck in the earlier games, but we have been virtually devoid of 'luck' (and even 'unlucky' ) in the past few games. That's just the way it goes - and the whole 'luck' thing should level itself up over the course of a season.

The reality is, BD is a good manager, but he's not the Messiah or anything like that. Just as he's not a complete mardy a_rse bottler that the sheep make him out to be.

If we don't win our last two games, then sure it's a demonstration that we are clearly not a good enough to win the the play-off process anyway. Simple as that.

I'm with Rev on this.

Davies has to be backed in the summer. Things must be better for him this time round as he isn't coming out into the public and saying he needs to make "stellar this" and "the boys are too young to do that"

Assuming that we are in the Championship next year, I think he will have the season to sort it and get us up.

I fully expect him to and anything short of top 6 will be a failure but he must go for auto IMO

If Billy is backed and gains the players he wants including the "infamous" additions in January as well then I would say his objective will be to achieve promotion or at least the top 6!

I think he can do it though with a Billy pre-season and the players he wants, then I see no reason why he can't gain promotion.
