Good to see Huddlestone is playing for his future and looks like he might secure it if he keeps his performances up.

Dembele is good, he keeps the ball and gets around the pitch, just with Parker he has to do a lot more then compared with Sandro.

Parker is getting on so we might as well cash in on him now and sign a younger guy, someone more suited to Dembele.

I don't remember Ya Ya or Gareth Barry having any impact on the game today, due to Dembele's hard work running and closing down, same said for Parker and Holtby

Dembele was key for pressing high up the pitch, I take it you watched the game?

I think HRH has had fair complaints today. Bad call for me from AVB with the first half formation/personnel. Parker + Dembele doesn't work, I have no idea why he's persevering with it, would much rather see anyone else in there, and for me Dembele's the better player so Parker makes way.

On the other hand, Bale said that AVB told them to play with more width at half-time. The players should have sussed this themselves, or AVB should have told them during the first half. Not sure what's wrong there, but something is.

The unknown is whether Thudd can be a 90-minute player again, or as RDBD says, if not but he manages short cameos like that then it's a shame but we'll take it

But for Parker putting himself about, we'd have been completely over run in midfield first half .
