Dont think a utd fan alive wouldn't want him here.

Don't believe the buyout clause Everton don't do them. He will leave though just for more than £23 million.

I think realistic 30 million but think he will go to Chelsea.

Would love him in our midfield hes a beast of a player

I would take him in a heartbeat. Not a silky maestro by any means but the power, technique and doggedness he will bring to our midfield will be most welcome.

SAF MUST MAKE MIDFIELD REINFROCEMENTS - Rooney in midfield is not the answer!! This is the time to build!

no thanks, poor discipline and is only useful in hoof ball tactics

My word, Fellaini??

Why??????????????????

Red Cog

While Fellaini isn't David Silva, he does have exceptional close control and very quick feet.

He brings a lot more than some people assume. Of course you aren't one of his doubters judging by your words but he isn't just a destroyer. He does have some creative talent to go with it.

honestly this is getting ridiculous, Honestly do you think Fellaini will fit into Man Utd and command a place. He might be good at Everton but he has big fish small pond written all over him.

Besides can you see him up agaimst barca, Madrid, Baryern, Juv or Durtmond?

Fellaini can be our Yaya.

By no means is Fellaini my first choice but i am not turn up my noise at the possibility of us acquiring Fellaini. He is a fine player who would improve our midfield a lot.

===================================

Nonsensical argument.

Fellaini has faced us, and we are still an European power house, and he 'destroyed' us.

Rob, i concur. His detractors are myopic, IMO. Fellaini has more to him than just destroying or causing fouls.
He has one of the best close controls in the PL, has a fantastic first touch, is strong on the ball and in the tackle, has exceptional aerial prowess, a strong engine and a goal threat.

I concur that Fellaini has discipline problems but with United, were we are more on the offensive, surrounded by better players and under the tutelage of SAF, his discipline will improve.

Doesn't he play behind the striker now? But if we're looking at Everton, that Gibson looks class.

I've watched fellaini for years his footballing ability, touch, passing, control, skill is sometimes overlooked because of his height and power along with the way Everton use him.

Wouldn't want Fellani, his best position by far is further up the field than midfield, couldn't see him doing that well for us.

posted on 23/4/13

Hell yeah!

He reminds me of Javi Martinez in many ways: big and strong but excellent technique, touch and quick feet and intelligent use of the ball. Fellaini + Carrick would be a superb midfield two behind an attacking quartet - both very good defending space and making interceptions as well as both being excellent passers of the ball. Fellaini would also be a ready-made successor to Carrick.

His versatility and usefulness in the attacking third of the pitch would be an added bonus, although I'd see him as a CM signing above all.

Technically weak, and heavy legged. Not what United need in CM and certainly not for that price.

I reckon we will make 1 CM signing and that will be Wanyama

Technically weak? Were you sneering at his technical weakness when he pirouetted in our box to set up one of the goals that lost us the league title last season?

posted on 23/4/13

I watch Everton alot, his touch isn't great, his decision-making is slow, and he can be slow off the mark.

Not what United need.

posted on 23/4/13

We do not need a tall fella with questionable pace in that midfield right now. We need bull dog. We lack any bite in midfield at the moment its all backtracking and shielding. I do not see fellaini changing that.

we should be looking for a scholes at 25 type player, especially if we plan to spend 23 million.

It is obvious that you don't indeed watch Everton.

Because, that is unadulterated BS.

Fellaini can be the 'bulldog'. His upper body strength is comparable to Yaya and Dembele in the PL. He is a physical specimen.

posted on 23/4/13

Hmm. Not the most mobile of players by any means. If you want a dogged player next to Carrick with an engine, he isn't it. And if you want a technical maestro who will keep the ball and dictate the play, he isn't quite that either. Fellaini has his uses, but for £23m? I'm not so sure he's what we're looking for,

It isn't ''unadulterated BS'', it's reality. He's physically very dominant to be fair.

I certainly wouldn't say no to a Scholes-type player. Signing Modric has been one of my strongest wishes for the last 2-3 seasons. But physique apart, what Fellaini offers isn't that much different. He is excellent at distributing the ball quickly and sensibly, is hard to tackle, and passes very well. Either of those players would suit me fine. What I don't want is someone who is only a bulldog. I want an accomplished footballer; if he is strong, that's an added bonus.

posted on 23/4/13

No thanks. Don't want this thug at United. Not a bad player at all but wouldn't suit us.
Plus it would mean we will have to adopt to route one football.
Lastly not mobile enough.
I would rather have had Dembele.

************************

Physical specimen maybe, he is no yaya nor dembele in terms of dynamism and direct potency in attack. Surely you all must see the lethargy that comes from our midfield. To solve this needs quite frankly the opposite of fellaini.

Fellaini is a brilliant player. In a different system, something similar to everton, he would be fantastic. So unless united intends to hire Moyes....
