Exactly the type of signing you should have made last year.

A tried and tested player who knows how to handle the league he's playing in.

Obviously there will be a question of how he'll be able to handle the pressures that come with playing for Rangers but I see no reason why a player like that can't do a better job than the likes of "tried and tested" players like Sandaza and Kyle.

Looks like lessons might have been learned at Ibrox which is all you can really ask for.

I'll be honest, at the start of this season I was all for signing the likes of Sandaza and Black.

I fell into the trap of thinking 'We need quality players coming in to keep the fans entertained'.

Having never really watched lower league Scottish football, I was ignorant to the fact that many of the players at this level are decent and can entertain.

In fact, I'd say on several occasions we have been the less attractive team to watch in matches this season.

So if theres a kid playing at Queen of the South who can rattle goals in and play well then I'm all for us going for the likes of him than another Sandaza.

He'd be a good signing but after the season he's had nay attract interest from England. I see Shinnie's on his way to Birmingham City !

Cant believe we let him go, every time I see him play he's the best player on the park.

Think some of the English clubs have started taking an interest in lower league Scottish clubs.

I'm sure there was reports of Everton being interested in one of the Queens Park kids a couple of weeks ago.

You'd imagine they would rather go to Rangers right now though if they got an offer. I'm guessing anyone from this level going to an English team will be playing in their youth team for a couple of years before even getting a sniff of first team action.

Going to Rangers guarentees first team football and probably better wages.

Plus, if you do the business with us, then in 2-3 years you might be looking at a much better move elsewhere.

Certainly at 21 he'd be better off at Rangers in the first team rather than , say, Everton's 3rd team. Let's hope his faither tells him that !

Scored 38 goals this season against the teams we will be playing next season.

Get him in!
