Giggs winding Gary

Shame he didn't follow Gary's path and retire when necessary instead of tarnishing his legacy.

Thought he was brilliiant yesterday. It's when he is in the middle that it falls apart.

What did he say? No sound on my work computer.

That's a bit harsh. Giggs justifies his place on the left more than any of our other wingers. He's a club legend that is still playing well at 39 and is a completely different case than Neville who really was finished when he retired.

Giggs was interviewed by Gary Neville on Monday Night Football and asked about the most important moment of Manchester United’s season.

Giggs reply was 'once we sorted out the right back position. it's been giving us problem the last 15 years or so. All this wearing a straight face.

Robert
When he justifies his place that doesn't say much about the quality(Ashley Young) right?
He is a legend and should have bowed out like a legend.

..............

He was very good yesterday when he was out wide, but he kept drifting all over the place. Pretty much every time he got the ball in the middle, he gave it away, but while out wide he produced the goods.

All our best moments were when we stretched the Villa defence.

Today should not be about criticizing anyone, least of all Giggs. Let's enjoy the party for now.

This post is just to showcase two United legends in a friendly banter. Please dont turn it into a Giggs (or any other player) bahing. Relax and enjoy number 20.

All I was doing was questioniong what you were actually watching yesterday, as you said he was brilliant.

If you can't handle critisims to your comments, don't make them.

Yes his banter with Nev was great.

You wern't sat next to me last night were ya VC?

He actually said that virtually verbatim just before then end of the game

Totally agree too

I really thought Tom would have got on last night towards the end but no, Giggs and Welbs were asked to play out of position and he was left on the bench again.

Mystery to me what's going on with Tom

A couple of weeks ago i raised the question and most were saying he's tired after a long season after contributing so much

Today, someone suggested it was to give him a kick up the backside ready for next season

God knows what must be going through his head. Hopefully the boss has explained the situation to him and it's nothing major

Thought Giggs was fantastic last night. Anyhow we should be enjoying today and celebrating not a day to criticize any players.

You mean by setting up the opening goals in the game in which we won our 20th league title?

VC, I am not averse to criticism to comments. I already said it falls apart for him in the middle. The guy also had 2 assists. thats not a bad return.

All I was saying is that we do not need to turn this into yet another Giggs bashing when we should be celebrating a championship. Thats not too much to ask for.

Yes. It should stop there now.

Giggs was not fantastic.

He had great moments, yes, but he also had bad moments. Same as Rooney.

As I said earlier, Giggs was brilliant when out on the wing, but he just did not stay there. I think that if he did, we could have scored six or seven.

HNIC, exactly my points.

I am not bashing Giggs here, just calling it as I saw it.

VC, I guess its a matter of half full and half empty cup for different people.

Lets for one day all be happy

VC,

Ok. fair enough. Can we get the celebration going on then?

Giggs has been brilliant on the left this season. Far more effective than any of our other wingers, which is great to see a legend play but concerning that a 39 year old is still our best winger. Either way, I don't want to 'moan' or 'criticise', I just want to enjoy title number 20

Done all the celebrating last night.

posted on 23/4/13

VC, I am still celebrating. Even 'knowing' that it was in the bag a couple of weeks back has not dampened my celebratory mood today. i guess the way we lost it last year makes this winning special for me.

Some people are just never happy. Giggs is an absolute legend and the fact he got two assists last night mean nothing to his detractors.

I say let them be miserable while we enjoy seeing Giggs still do it after 20 years at the top.

It was funny last night when the camera was on Giggsy then panned round to the "tearing you apart since 1991" banner and the commentator said "Ryan Giggs tearing people apert since 1991.....tearing defenders apart that is"
