To be honest, they deserve a guard of honour. They are league champions and unless we want to be petty about it, we should give them the guard of honour.
Hopefully RVP won't start given Fergie and Wenger's new love affair but I guess he will
'But we will still need to boo RVP....he is a and needs to understand that leaving us to Man U was below the belt.......'
He left to win trophies and has just pocketed a premier league medal. Seems like he made the right choice
U know if RVP doesnt start Welbeck will score against us.
At least RVP might feel sorry for us and maybe play rubbish.

Thats not the point......he left us for Man U.....he could have won medals at Real madrid, Juventus, Milan and definitely Barcelona......but he went to Man U......He knew how we felt about him, he knew he was loved by us fans, but he still went to a team that we have had rivalry with.........
Well he just showed what we know about most footballers, they have very little or no loyalty. He's moved on, won the league in his first season away so he will be justified in his move.
Still a
Forgot anything else, we just need to play well on the day and get 3 points. Our summer signings will be jeopardised if we don't make top 4
Why was RVP leaving below he belt? He'd won feckall at Arsenal, and was offered more money by city, and in his first season he wins the league.
Point the finger at AW, had he spent money you might have won some silverware but I fail to see the logic in berating RVP he merely left to get his hands on a nice big silver cup
"Well he just showed what we know about most footballers, they have very little or no loyalty."
Doing what is effectively his job, not even in the same country where he grew up, let alone the same town.
Why wouldn't he leave to further his career, both financially and in terms of achievement?
you rather he stayed for the next three years not winning nothing
"Thats not the point......he left us for Man U.....he could have won medals at Real madrid, Juventus, Milan and definitely Barcelona......but he went to Man U....."
None of those clubs wanted him bar Juve. That's why his options were limited to Juve and Man U.

Up rooting and moving to another country is not as easy as football fans seem to think.

Let's cheer Man U and boo RVP
Oh that was a comical article, very stupid but funny at the same time

Arsenal are not particularly big rivals with United though. Not now in a sporting sense. Maybe from 98-08. Rivals in that we are both big clubs. But players move from one big club to another all the time.
Barcelona could be considered a rival of yours as you always seem to draw them in the CL knockout rounds, and they always seem to give you a good seeing to. But this didn't stop you fromchucking Fabregas at them. Without any ill feeling.
"Remember you guys terrorising Rooney for not signing a contract and being linked with City?"
Are you doing the old 'take what a few people said and label it as an entire fanbase's comments'?
A slightly different situation, also.
A few Utd fans on here do seem to hate Owen Hargreaves for joining City, not to mention Tevez. Think fans will obviously always have ill feelings towards a player who joins a rival, be it straight after or a few years down the line.
"Arsenal are not particularly big rivals with United though. Not now in a sporting sense. Maybe from 98-08. Rivals in that we are both big clubs. But players move from one big club to another all the time."
That's besides the point.
Liverpool are not your rivals in sporting sense, yet they'd never sell to you.
"Are you doing the old 'take what a few people said and label it as an entire fanbase's comments'?"
Yes. A few people rummaged his house. But a lot of United fans were getting annoyed by the mere speculation of Rooney joining City.
Imagine if he actually did join them?
Man U are a bigger, more serious club. That bit is clear.
As I said though, don't act like you guys wouldn't be hurting now if you were in the exact same position.
Dubbed The New Wenger (U9163)
Or maybe don't tell me how I'd be acting?
There were some people acting in that way. Doesn't mean we all were, so it's a lazy comment to make.
I haven't suggested the OP's view is the same for all Arsenal fans, so I don't see why any retorts should do that with me and United fans.
I believe I'd be saying exactly the same thing if roles were reversed.
"Or maybe don't tell me how I'd be acting?"
Huh? I wasn't specifically referring to you. Relax.
"There were some people acting in that way. Doesn't mean we all were, so it's a lazy comment to make."
Once again, I said a lot of Man U fans. I've come across you before.
You're extremely pedantic and make debating very difficult.
"I believe I'd be saying exactly the same thing if roles were reversed."
That is you then. But everyone would say that wouldn't they?
Just as you were knocking me for generalising a whole fanbase. You have no right speaking for them either.
Fans as whole are very reactionary and fickle.
And you live in dream world if you don't think Man U fans wouldn't lose it, if Rooney joined City or Chelsea. Probably even more so than us gooners.

You were the one that made the comments. Rather than argue about pedanticness, just accept you might have said the wrong thing.
I am not trying to speak for every member of the fanbase.
If you want a debate about what an entire fanbase would do, then you must be clueless. Clearly, I was talking about myself. That's what the forum is for.
Rooney transferring to City or Chelsea is clearly different to the RVP situation.
