Getting into Europe's elite takes time. It certainly took Sir Alex a few attempts to get to grips with it

Sure you will get there soon enough. You have the finacial clout to do it for sure.

I'm not so sure an easier group would have made much difference given Ajax finished above City this time but you really could do with some luck in the draw and hope you get it

Both Manchester clubs in the knockout stages would be excellent for the City

Remain patient and you'll get there. I'm sure of it.

"You are just a small club who got lucky to find a rich owner"

Just a tad ironic.

Indeed

Quite an amusing statement and his timing is pretty good too given the Uk rich list has not long been published

What a stupid article. Utd are in pot 3, meaning they avoid all the big teams. City are in pot 3, meaning they get 2 big teams. . Not particularly rocket science

It obviously is rocket science as that makes absolutely no sense you oafish fekwit.

"I love how City fans suddenly think they are betetr than us"

So City aren't actually, currently, better than Arsenal?

Also

"10 points!!!! You have to actually win a game in Europe to get 10 points."

Is lestheknob onh under a different guise, or is he just another common spotted red t!t?

City are just genuinely awful in the UCL. Don't play the "They got an easier group than us".

A team worth 500 Billion should beat any team regardless

Every player at City cost at least £90m so no excuses if they can't get teams awash with homemade talent like Real Madrid or Bayern.

Seen as Real and PSV cost Trillions more than city and United then I presume they are going to win everything for the next 10 years.

Reading the postings from the Arsenal supporters here, I have experienced a huge surge of affection for Tottenham and Chelsea. This rarely happens to me in respect of Chelsea, and is a lifetime first for me re Tottenham. I really think Thursday night football would be good for the Gooners - and a fair reflection of they way they have played for quite a bit of this season.

Don't mind Chelsea tbh as their real fans have had to put with the same BS we've suffered for the last 4 years but I'd have prefered Everton to get a CL place ahead of the NL gobshités.

As everybody is witnessing tonight with Dortmunds performance......and the fact that Madrid put the Rags out..............NONE of the other English teams would have qualified from our group.

So we move on to next year.

I think it gives our CL campaign some context.

Dortmund were better in both games against us but we weren't hammered and humiliated and we could/should have done better in both games aginst RM.

The fact is, all the English clubs struggled once they were pitched against the better European clubs but we're the only ones still getting criticism for it.

Borris part of that is due to the press witch hunt against Mancini.

You are getting criticism because you didn't win ONE game in the group sages. With all the money spent you ave to expect criticism despite you being in a difficult group. Stop trying to play the victims, you're beginning to sound like scousers

Not as bad though as last season when United lost out to the Ladyboys of Basel. Had you been in our group this season it would be a moot point as to if you would also have qualified. As it is the 2 top clubs in our group have just played a great semi final, not victims just a factual assesment of the quality of the teams we have played.

posted on 24/4/13

Basel you mean the team who are in the Europa semis and they were a better side last season with the likes of shaquiri. Don't try and compare our European record with your own. Fact is you didn't win ONE game this season. You deserve all the criticism you get.

In fairness there is very very little reason to finish below Ajax, the season before it was Bayern (fair enough) and Napoli who considering how much you built up the club you should have had enough to finish above...

You managed to get 10 points but everybody in your group beat Villareal twice, they were awful. What you got was 4 points out of 2 games against Bayern and 2 games against Napoli which is not that good considering your squad.

United weren't really lucky in the knockout stages, we finished top of our group and faced Real Madrid, what are the chances of that!

I like your use of words in capital letters to add emphasis les. Us blues are pretty illiterate, so it really does help.

I suppose it is completely our fault that Aguero was denied a perfectly good goal, and Mario Balotelli a clear penalty in the home game vs Ajax, which would have meant we would have won, at least, ONE game. But what can you do?

It has nothing on your swapping of words within a sentence to render it meaningless...

Something I do regularly...

Careful fella, would have never dreamed of mixing bath salts and plant fertiliser myself, sounds like the sort of mental combination that caused hafijur to turn into the man he is today.

Give it a bit of time to kick in and I shall give you a rundown of how we won every game this season and you lost every game... that is outside of you being the luckiest team in the world and us the most unlucky

We won the CL too, just haven't got the stats to hand right now...
