The Arsenal defence does struggle getting itself in a line these days. Maybe Adams and Dixon could come in to help out

That's really funny.

Stop whining serial, it's only a bit of fun.

Jebus Serial, it's just a bit of light-hearted fun. Do you not think your fans will enjoy spouting spurious bile at RVP on Sunday?

Serial wound up over nothing

Good grief, the guard of honour.

I heard someone earlier today (on t'wireless) call it the 'traditional guard of honour' - since when!

It's a complete waste of time - one team of sour-faced players reluctantly feigning congratulations for another team of embarrassed players, in front of a set of grumbling supporters who'd rather drink their own p1$$ than congratulate one of their rivals.
Whenever we have been involved in one, I've hated it from both sides - I was at Old Trafford one time when we did it for Chelsea, and I hated that they were 'Lording it' at our place, and I don't feel any sense of pride when it's done for us, just embarrassment as I know nobody from the opposition has any genuine sentiment behind the action.
What is it supposed to do? We all know the team being applauded have won the league, and are the best in the league - we can read a league table!
It's just one of those fake spectacles designed to give the illusion of respect and camaraderie, just like the pre-match handshake that tends to bring up more talking points than owt else. Once completed they all go out there trying to kick the crap out of each other, dive all over the place and abuse each other and the officials just as much as they ever did.
It insults our intelligence. The opposition are now obliged to do it, and not doing it would bring a hail of hand wringing from the sanctimonious Daily Mail reading Holier-than-thou gobshytes who usually stick their oar in .

If anyone is in any doubt, I don't like the 'Guard of Honour'.

Rant over - light hearted mood ruined.
