blimey, your brave, really wldnt wanna call many games in the championship.

Avoid Championship mate. If you're doing that then you're best to pick 2 bankers each week. Over the season if you bet big enough you'll end up.

booothy..

you could bet on me getting blathered on friday, its my 23rd wedding anniversary...you could also get a good each way on me being able to finish off 5 chappatis and a good number of bargees..

failing that, its a home banker that i will feel like "sh-te" saturday morning only to make a recovery that "lazarus" would be proud of before the big kick off..

as for betting on football, if it was easy we would all be rich by now..

I bet 38 years won't be able to get it up on his wedding anniversary. Damn booze <cokk>

Personally wouldn't put anything on Forest, too unpredictable for my liking, also £100, are you rolling in it fella? I like the reasonable £10 on a win and £10 on a half time full time and see where that gets you. I also like a couple of quid accumulators, been 1 game off of a 15 way accumulator 3 times now, each one between £5-£8k! Gets the heart facing listening to the final scores!

I have put a £250 outright treble on Leicester City, Crawley Town and a certain league one side returns me in excess of £25000.00.

betting wise, follow me on twitter as i will be doing a saturday football banker alongside my daily horse tip showing a 41 pt profit to level stakes since 7/6/2011 this doesnt include my Darren Clarke to win the open at 250/1 (betfair)

Whats your twitter RW? Be interested to see what your picks are each week.

I seem to be surrounded by high rollers

Thanks for the tips guy. And no I'm not minted just thought I'd save a couple of hundred to see if I can turn it into thousands over the season. Think I might avoid Forrest. I'd bet on town but that's just tempting fate

I dont touch the nags but always do a 5 or 6 team bet and go for an any 5 from 6 to win, staking no more than a tenner every week, Every season i come up trumps 4 or 5 times but never at the begining of the season its too unpredictable, But once the season gets going i generally find the lower divisions of England and the Scots leagues bar the prem pretty pickings when the luck is in, I usually go for home sides whose opponents have a long coach journey and i never ever bet on Town.

With only modest bets and ONLY betting on Town, not this season but the season before I made just over £300.

Last season I lost a fair amount just on the draws, but still came out about £100 better off overall.

Richard Ward, new to this twitter thing. Are you under the same name. Think I've found you but not sure.

I'd avoid Forest, even though I think they'll do well this season, because I think Hill will do a great job at Barnsley - can't believe they're still favourites for the drop.

I have a tenner every week on 3 "bankers" as well as a £1 sections accumulator, and over the course of the season I usually end up a few hundred quid up. I've also had £20 on United, Forest, Town and Crawley to finish in the top 3 of each league, but might have another now with Leicester and Swindon instead.

Derby, by sticking to betting on Town, the one team i know more about than the bookies, i did really well last season. I don't recall a single suprise result in any of our games.

I do have a tip for you Boothy and that is to do the research for the cricket starting Wednesday. If the experts tell you the wicket is going to do something and the weather forecast tells you there will be no rain/lost play you can then rule out the draw. That leaves England at 11/10,which is massive, you can even wait to see who wins the toss. If all 3 things fall into place get your house on Strauss and co., if not don't bet.

None were a surprise as such, but not what I had bet on I refuse to bet on town loosing, I'd prefer not to bet, but draws can be difficult to predict and there was always that hope in me that we'd bag just one more than them a couple of times more but if that'd been the case we'd have gone up automatic and I would've won my bet on that too!

I'd stick it on Town it'll win you £175 notes which isn't a bad return. Can't see anything other than a Town win.

Be wary of Bury...they had one of the best away records last season, and scord 47 goals to boot, more than any other team in all 4 divisions...
