The inactivity on the Darts board worries me.
Is there anyone that's actually an expert on darts, other than knowing that Phil Taylor and Barneveld are good. Even for the fans it seems unlikely, they just get wasted and dance around when the announcer says 180! Not sure how they would remember anything.
It's a very difficult game to predict.
The quality in the Premier League has been excellent, usually the Power is dominant but now we have seen the renaissance of Barney and the emergence of Van Gerwen. James Wade has also been excellent this year, even after Barney thrashed him last year.
Still a game very much with the fans- you go to the darts and it is very much affordable, you can drink and have a laugh next to your mates.
When I go to the footy these days it can be hard to relocate my seat next to my mates, I have to contend with erratic kick-off times and I can't get a drink either!
I don't think there are any experts, because it is theoretically very easy. You watch them do it and you think yes that's really simple, I could do that. But in practice? It's really difficult to be consistent.
I know it's hard, have a dart board, I think it's one of those things that even with loads of effort and practice you might not be that good. Need the knack for it.
