To be fair to Ade he must relish in the money he is getting every week, he must be making a lot more than his dad. Whats his job again?

Think you'd have to ask Weare, heard he's itk on this

Ask the clientele. As the saying goes "they never forget".

Does anyone actually know the truth of it or are we just believing a story with no quotes or sources from a rag newspaper.

Honestly

We had an AVB article with direct quotes last week, and in several broadsheets, yet some people quickly dismissed it.

"Ironically now, AVB and his staff are now satisfied with Adebayor's work-rate during matches - he scored twice in the three games Defoe missed recently with a pelvic injury - but the club are still looking at alternatives."

If we are taking this article at face value, and as the truth, surely we must all applaud his effort?

AVB is happy with it. Says it in the article so it must be true.

Right?

Has AVB actually got stuck into players in the press this season ??

Ok with not doing that if behind doors he is giving the hairdryer treatment to the players. But I suspect Adebayor, BAE etc are getting more of a moody cold shoulder than the riot act.

HRH,

I always say exactly the same thing. If a newspaper article suits our opinion, then its true - if it says something we dont like then its lazy journalism and tomorrow's chip paper.

Always the way...

ade really is a pain in the arseee isnt he. he just is a total pain and annoyance.

He has been poor this season, as bad this season as he was good last. I am not sure his attitude stinks. He does put effort into games, this season it has more been his ability letting him down...poor finishing, poor hold up play. Things hasve just not worked for him.

Doesn't help when he is booed by his own fans...and so many of you are all too quick to jump on the "he's lazy" bandwagon. It is not necessarily the case.

In his last game he worked pretty hard chasing the ball but let himself down when he had the ball. that does not mean he does not care, it just means he's had a stinker of a season.

Form is a tough thing to turn around and I am not convinced the tactics work to his style...he needs more players in and around him, like last season when he had the likes of VDV a lot closer to him (and on the same wave length)

As I mentioned previously he was left out of the Wigan squad due to a disciplinary.

Because it is so fresh I cannot discuss details other than point out it is to do with persistent lateness.

Thats ridiculous if true.

Even if he was late every day you don't leave yourself with no strikers on the bench because of it.

posted on 29/4/13

How does the Mirror know he is on 100k a week, all pure speculation to fill column inches.

We need 3 proven forwards (as well as Bale) in my opinion, so Ade, JD + NEW STRIKER (along with 1 or 2 youngsters knocking on the door) would be nice.

It's not ridiculous at all HRH. Give one player an easy time when he steps way out of line and they will all start to do it. I would much rather have a harsh manager who is respected than one players think they can take for a ride.

Agree Edin.. you have to be the boss or people lose respect very quickly in any job

If he's as much of a mercenary as people think hit him in the pocket.

If he doesn't care about playing for us as some think, how will giving him the game off be punishing him?

Cutting off your nose to spite your face. Except your face doesn't actually care

Agreed.....if a player Is guilty of ill discipline.....he must be bought too task.....

As much as I like hearing from LLM, this is still speculation until confirmed....no offence and all that

This story is one that rings true with people so they will readily believe it.

Contrast that with any negative AVB stories being rubbished as agenda-driven by rag papers.

Pinch of salt unless there are direct quotes or statements from the club/player

@RVB

Ade is on £110,000 a week along with Bale. Joint top earners. Although techniically Ade is on £120,000 grand as an extra 10 grand a week goes on top to his personal charity.

@hrh

You cannot be serious mate?

You would allow a player who had already used up his 9 lives with the returning from Africa 4 days late scenario. To again take the Michael and still include him in the squad? This despite he has offered nothing on the pitch.

No club is ever going to discuss internal discipline matters outside of the club, and hardly likely that Adebayor is going to admit to bad time keeping.
