You guys need to learn to listen to John, he actually knows what he's talking about regardless of how controversial it is.
Dont get me wrong, he does make mistakes, eg Believing Bendtner would be great
But he never liked RVP, and now we can see why
Has been calling for Jenks to replace Sagna for the last 2 years.
Has always backed Ramsey to return to pre-injury form and it looks like he'll be right again.
You can say whatever you want about John(and trust me i have) but he has incredible foresight
Ramsey was all over the pitch as usual and he and Rosicky were the reason we started as intensely and with as much energy as we did. He deservedly got a standing ovation when he was subbed.
I was as disappointed as anyone with Ramsey's form in the last 18 months or so, but our fans stating that he is shít are clueless. I think he deserves a lot of credit for how he's played recently. By all means criticise players who are lazy and don't put the effort in, but that accusation can't be levelled at Ramsey. I don't quite think he'll ever be "special" but he's certainly good enough. All sides need players like him. Think Fletcher in some of Fergie's great United sides (although actually talented).
He is ideally suited to being the "in-between" midfielder as is he about the only player we have who can (or rather is willing to) get box-to-box and try to contribute at both ends.
Works hard, cover the pitch well but ultimately distinctly average when in possession.
Agree with last comment, if Arsenal must compete we need a better player in that role.
some of the fans can never be pleased, ramsey is a special talent and he got the passion,we started so well largely thanks to him yesterday,i mean some of you here wouldn't be pleased if he scored 100 goals an created a 100 assists. you would probably still say his just not good enough ,over the last few years we've really had some rubbish players an finally we have someone who is lookin the part so lets just enjoy it instead of continuously finding a fault in the lad
Ramsey isn't the finished article but the way he's developing you can see something he's 22 finally over his injury confidence/fitness back now he needs to add goals/assists
Apart from a couple of fans on here, the majority of arsenal fans I know and have spoken to at match day pre game drinks think Ramsey is average and nothing more. He gives us good energy but his decision making is appalling. 3 or 4 times yesterday he made poor decisions, the guy is nothing special at all.
Ramsey has guts but you can't say he never gets bullied in midfield I really really hope Wenger doesn't believe in this Arteta-Ramsey partnership because if that's relied on then next year we won't even be in the frame for top 4
In between these midfield technicians a monster is needed like City have in Yaya, Chelsea in Mikel/Luiz, and United in Jones.
We won't get anywhere relying on small weak players to carry the midfield I guarantee that
I do think Wenger realises that the lack of a "ballwinner" in the middle of the park has hindered his team. Hence the reports of Arsenal being linked with moves for the likes of Maxime Gonalons, Étienne Capoue Geoffrey Kondogbia etc...
I've spoke of this before, but quite often, the Arsenal midfield sets itself up as though it's a La Liga outfit. Whilst it can reap rewards and look pretty when it pays off, over a long and hard Premier League season it's just impractical.
I'm fairly sure there will be pretty big adjustments in key areas of the team for next season.
Ramsey works his nuts off but is poor in the final 1/3 - and his shooting is diabolical - I hope he can improve next season but to be honest I'm not holding my breath...
comment by Chris H - I saw Giroud celebrate when Theo got injured! (U15205)

So - not that accurate then...
Let's face it if you make enough predictions some of them have got to be right

And clearly some of them are bound to be wrong
I stand by what I said about Ramsey - the fact that he has improved out of all recognition is wonderful - did I think he would get this good so quickly ? Not a chance, but I didn't want to get rid of him
