I think jamp is a Scottish thing.
One of these traits from Glasgow that you probably can't explain. I've been living here for 18 years now and no one has explained to me why Glaswegians use the definite article when talking about the word "now".

Jamp is not a word (not even an irregular verb...) but 'drap' most certainly is an old Scots word as is dreep - the first person to use 'dreep' correctly in a sentence gets a free ticket to the 24 May event...
