Watching Lescott has shown me two things, first being he's a donkey on the ball, not a natural footballer, that said he's a bloody good defender. Good header of the ball and doesn't let players past him easily which is what you need. English and available, he'd be a good purchase for you I think. It's better to play a better distributed alongside him or if Sandro drops deep to pick the ball up off him.

No doubt a good talent, is it a coincidence that Kompany looks a lot worse without him by his side? Maybe, maybe not.
Was ridiculously good for Everton and would improve our team hugely. He is also a PL winner and hopefully would have that thirst for silverwear.
Way to ugly to play along side Jan
Spurs certainly need a decent central defender to partner Verts next season, but not sure Lescott would come to WHL, worth a cheeky bid though.
He's still a good defender but not so good on the ball (bringing the ball out of defence etc), which is fine because vertonghen can do that. Contract runs out summer 2014 and probably on about £80k a week? Good player to have but levy wouldn't sanction those wages to a 30 year old
Why not sandy? Don't you think he'd rather guarantee a place in a team challenging top 4? Or do you think he rather stay up't north? He's a blue north west, not sure where else he'd go.
I think he'd come to us without a doubt. Where else is he going to go? Not sure what Gallas is on but I thought he was quite a high earner - just give Gallas' wages to Lescott.

I think Lescott will stay with us for a while longer, I can see him getting a bit more playing time next season with Mancini using a bit more rotation.
He may not be blessed with great technical ability although he's not as bad as people make out, very calm and composed in possession.
Komakino fair enough. I wasn't sure of his situation at City so my article could just be wishful thinking.
I think he is a very good defender.

I would like to see us try to sign somebody like Hernandez though. What's his situation? He seems to be out of favor at Utd. Is that the case or is he recovering from some kind of injury?
