Maybe ONCE great batting line up?
Tendulkar is one of the best ever with Dravid not far behind.
Sehwag is IMO one of the best opening batsmen in the modern era and some will say ever.
Maybe these three and Laxman will deliver at Edgbaston?
I must say England fans gloating and denigrating our opponents is getting boring. Takes yourselves back a few years to Australia 2006-7 before you crow too loud.
They could gingerfinch.. The thing if they do come good,the scoring rate with be slower then Englands.It will take India longer to get in a winning position.England have better bowlers then in previous times..More consistent with their lines and lenghts.. I didnt use to be a great fan of Jimmy Anderson but in the last two years hes been outstanding..The Indian batsmen have excellent records. Even in their prime they would have struggled with this kind of bowling..
Yes, any bat will struggle against high class swing bowling.
As for scoring rates. If Sehwag does fire then their r/rate will be pretty high.
Am not gloating at all.. Just happy that the Indian fans such as swammy on the old 606 who did 100s of threads on England and RedIndian here as said India will do this and India will do that.have been made to look foolish

tendulkar is just 38,he still has another 4-5 years of test match career left in him,,that is around 5000-6000 test runs and 15-20 test centuries. remember this is the same man who was smashing the test bowlers when he was a 16 year old kid...dont be surprised if he keep on smashing the test bowlers when he is 46 years old..and again there have been many 45+years batsmen in the history...bradman,,boycott,etc played till very late..that means these trio can still be there when they tour next time in england...
so our batting lineup will continue to be the greatest for atleast another 4-5 years..after that is anyone's guess.according to me,,there are plenty of fine young batsmen in india waiting for their chance.
Indiasox don't you fear that most young Indian players are gearing themselves up to get an IPL contract, where the big bucks are, rather than the discipline of test cricket.

indiasox, It has been documented that injuries and age have forced SRT into a change of batting style. He has said so himself. To say he will play on for 4-5 years is ludicrous.
Anyway, if they do carry on for that amount of time, how will these 'fine your batsmen' get their chance. Do you want 3 40+ blokes running around the outfield for 5-6 sessions of play, and then have to build an innings?
Seriously, take off the blinkers and rose tinted spectacles.

and we are talking about a guy who came out batting wearing a test cap when he was 16 years old....should not be surprised to see him batting in test matches when he is 46.
btw,,has the age affected the class of dravid??he is still one the safest hand in slip cordons...
about fine young batsmen in india,dont worry ,they will always crop up just like fine young bowlers crop up in porkiestan.

Neon, the one thing England cannot be accused of is hiding from playing any team anywhere. We have not only played all the top teams we play them over a 4 or 5 test series. Can India claim the same?
the english fans are as excited as a bull whose tail is in fire...
you havent won the series yet..remember??and you should avoid either 0-1 or 0-2 in the remaining matches to be crowned the no.1 test team..and i am sure the result for you will be the latter..so just dont celebrate yet......

No team has ever had all their players consistently scoring runs or taking wickets at the same time. The important thing is that enough do to take us to a win and that is what is happening at the moment.
