I'd take Baines from there. That's it.

Yes, the guy is one of the most deceptively skillful players in the league and would add some beef to our side.

A month ago he played in a holding role for Everton for a few games.

Not good enough, slow, no range of passing, no shot.

He is actually very good at passing and does have a good shot. He is also brilliant at close control and like I said, would beef up our side.

Look at Bayern. They have a few Fellaini style players in their side. If we want to compete in a physical battle with them we need bigger players that can actually play football.

Fellaini is that guy.

I'd take Baines and Ross Barkley

Mex

Bayern have big, strong players like Gomez, Muller and Schweinsteiger who can be physical as well as be able to play football.

They beat Barca by being physically dominating and being faster and better on the ball.

To compete with them we need to beef up. Fellaini is one of the best in Europe for doing this.

You think he's just a battering ram but he is far more than that.

Schweinsteiger is 6'0" hardly a man mountain and comparing him to Fellaini is an insult.

Muller is a techinical player, Gomez too.

schweinsteiger is nothing like fellaini,

fellaini is very good at holding the ball up, but he isnt a great passer of the ball, certainly not like schweinsteiger or martinez, muller is a forward, a finisher we have plenty of those at the club, fellaini for the money he would cost wouldnt be worth it, and why over the last few weeks of CM articles havent you mentioned fellaini once if youre such a big fan of his?

So Mourinho could bring Ronaldo or Moyes could bring that Afro dude who scores against us when we play Everton. Make it stop, why can't I just wake up from this nightmare?

I never said that Schweinsteiger was as tall as Fellaini but he is very tough and he and Martinez make a great physical coupling in the centre.

Carrick and Fellaini would make a great partnership in there with Fellaini driving forward and using the great skill that he does have to bring other players into play.

I'd take Fellaini. He has attributes that are sadly missing in United's midfield at times. Sure he's not exactly a prime Zico but he has the physical attributes that United lack in midfield and he can play a bit too he's deceptively skilful. I think he's starting to go stale at Everton he's definitely ready to take the next step in his career and if that's at United i certainly won't complain.

I'd much rather have Fellaini next season in central midfield playing say City or Chelsea than Giggs, Fletcher, Scholes or Jones.

if we do sign fellaini you'll be in for a big shock if he plays in a MF 2 with carrick

posted on 8/5/13

Ok, Fellaini is tough in the fact he elbows, punches and headbutts.

Schwiny and Martinez are fair and tough tacklers. But their ability with the ball far superseeds their physical attributes

Better than a midfield 2 with 2 of Carrick, Giggs and Scholes

Would the people arguing with rob rather have no midfielder this windows or buy fellaini?

posted on 8/5/13

Nah, not good enough on the ball and lacks a proper range of passing. Not very mobile either. We can do better.

I would actually take Mirallas. A direct, tricky player that always looks to actually try something positive.

not 25 million quid better
