Not one person mentioning Ramires. The guy is a long distance runner not a footballer, granted he scored but the amount of times he has misplaced passes and gave the ball away was comical.
Their first goal came from him stumbling over the ball. He has been utterly useless all season

I'm glad there's a few Chelsea fans that can see what I see about Ramires.

He'd look more at home in the steeplechase than a football pitch.

Ramires got into good positions today, and his goal was a great finish..just wish he could be more efficient.

Mr C, he seems much better suited to the 4-3-3 system, the spaces he adores plowing into just open up more frequentatly. His future in the 4-2-3-1 might have to be on the right.

As one of his fanboys i agree he hasn't been great this season.

Ramires has had a poor season. Great last season. However he doesn't suit the formation anymore

After that goal Vs Barca he may have had an easy ride this season, and think a lot is over looked as his bursting forward often causes many problems, however i do agree for Chelsea to move on we may have to be reduced to a squad player

Hmm, I think overall he's still had a good season and one of the top performers in the squad. Having said that I like the idea of us going back to 4-3-3 anyway.

Ramires is a squad player. We need to bring in a top class central midfielder to play alongside Luiz next season.

Alonso would do nicely, even if it is just for the short term.

Matic would be another good option.

I hadn't considered Matic, for the right price he could be a very good squad addition

Should have put a buy-back with Matic.

Couldn't you just play than Belgian lad you already own?

If we stay 4231 KDB is more one for the '3', for 4-3-3 he'd be fine though.

Oh, ok. From what I know of him he's pretty versatile and could become a quality deeplying playmaker. But I don't know a great deal about him so he may or may not be the right player.

I'm sure the first thing Mourinho will do is sign a cm.

We cant really complain too much about Matic as we did get Luiz in return but he has grown into a brilliant player.

As for CM I would love for us to try and get Montalivo from AC Milan i think he is the best CM in the world right now a great replacement for Lampard.

posted on 8/5/13

That's true. It may have been the only way to get Luiz for a non crazy price would have been to include Matic, and/or not including a buy back clause. Unfair on Matic but worth it for Luiz.

Like the look of Matic. Would like him at United.

King, bold statement, I like Montolivo and always have done but he's not even Italy's best cm let alone the best in the world.

Would be a great player for Chelsea though but these top Italians rarely leave the big Italian clubs so I can't see it. Just like that bollòcks rumour about us getting Marchisio doesn't convince me.

I am the type of guy who doesnt really go for defensive and attcking midfielders i like the ones who can do it all and i think his all round game is probably one of the best.

Anyway we should try and change this trend of big name Italians not leaving Italy i am sure they would now the Italian league isnt what it used to be.

They've got better since they sold Lavezzi, however.

Replacing Cavani will be big. Insigne looks an amazing talent though and the ridiculous fee they'll get could be reinvested in the squad.

Balotelli was always gonna cane up for Milan. He's a nutter but when he wants to be can be an amazing player. Milan were always gonna be the place he'd decide to show up.

Juve need a world class cf to challenge for Europe. The league is on the up though, in my opinion.

Thing is they lost their 4 team allocation to the CL to Germany last year

posted on 9/5/13

Yeah, that's a big blow for them. I don't think they'll become the dominant force they once were but I can see the league improving and the teams doing better in Europe. Milan and Juve gave good accounts of themselves.

I think the CL on the whole will become fairly competive for the next few years. Can't see one league being really dominant like we've seen before.

Torres was embarrassingly poor and should have been subbed at 60-65 mins...Couldn't see any reason for keeping him on at all

Benny shouldn't be in the squad he's just not Good enough...

Fair play to spurs they held out and got a draw...but we ran that game and should've won it with the right players on at the end
