A tad contradictory this article... BAE has been very consistent over the last 3/4 maybe longer seasons and yes he has been poor since returning from injury but like walker he will return to form. Give the guy time to get back to full fitness next season then lets see.

Agree on walker. Very good player who has got his confidence back.

I think Benny has taken over him as the scapegoat. He's not been great, but had a major injury earlier in the year and is twice the left back Naughton is. I think he's not been as bad as people are making out.

benny was awful in the 2nd half of last season.

he had played really well for 2 years, and then just fell apart last Christmas.

Agreed, Walker played very well. benny was sloppy and easily bullied off the ball. Oscar actually out-muscled him..WTF?!!

From a chelsea pov I thought he looked extremely dangerous goi f forward, direct, quick and powerful but he looked suspect a few times defending out wide and couldn't handle a few players.

He looks like he's been taking offensive tips of Bale though, still a but rough in his technique, room for improvement.

The fact that there's an article every time he has a decent game tells you how shiet he's been

People forget he's barely missed a game in two seasons. Form aside Walker fits with the way AVB wants to play and is a superb athlete. Benny doesn't seem to fit these days, and with Naughton, Rose and Fryers queued up I can't see him being here much longer.

Walker made Lennon look slow last night! Very impressive all night and stopped a lot of chelsea crosses by great positioning, forcing them to play the ball backwards instead of getting a cross in.

I know Lennon wasn't at his best but I was glad to see him go off and give the hammys a rest. Good sub fro AVB there

lennon should never have been on. he went on one run down the wing off the ball, and he looked like one leg was longer than the other it was such a limp. even if it doesn't make his injury any worse (which seems unlikely) there's no point him being on the pitch atm anyway.
