Would United sell him to a rival?

If we got him for 30m or under i think he'd be a brilliant signing. Still Lewandoski would be the best fit but rather rooney than some other names been mentioned.

I don't like him as a person and think he's another overrated English footballer...

probably the most overrated English player we have

saying that, I'd like him to come to us just so I can laugh at United

Toby 27 is old when you have played 550 career games by the age of 27.

Was funny laughing at Liverpool when we got Torres at first RVB but now we have to stick with the repercussions 2 years later

The main thing for me is, if Falcao, Lewandowski and Cavani go elsewhere (which is looking likely atm), who could we get that is better than Rooney and available? For 30m or under it would be a good deal.

How's the Chelsea board been in general with Rooney over the seasons?

Was there <loveheart>?

Don, I don't like using the word overated but when I here Rooney described as 'World Class' I almost have to break and use it!

I think if a player wants to go these days they generally get what they want. No club needs an unhappy player causing unrest so the only issue becomes a price tag.

If two clubs meet the valuation but the player has his heart set on a particular club then that's where he'll go. Man City, for instance, could have happily put an extra few million on the table for van Persie, but once he had his heart set on Manchester United, that was that.

I laughed it off when I first hear this rumour, but it's been in the air for a good 48+ hours and seems to be gathering a bit of pace.

Personally, I think Rooney would be a masterstroke signing for Chelsea. He's a great player who has just looked unhappy in his current surroundings for a while. Form is temporary, class is permanent and Wayne Rooney would turn Chelsea into very, very serious title contenders in 2014.

Wouldn't say he's world class either Brummie, but he's still a good/top level striker

For £25m big ones Don I'd want World Class or pretty close to it!

Rooney is burnt.

Where will he play in the team...instead of Mata, Hazard or our new striker....or he will replace Lampard

posted on 11/5/13

Justanotherposter he will be our new striker if he comes.

Falcao - Us or Monaco
Lewandowski- Bayern Munich
Cavani- City or Us.

if we are unable to get any of this lot we should go for him £25 million no more as his value has lowered from when he was 18 years old.
