Because he's made a success of his life unlike you.
Mikeymax....
70 million?
If we were to renew one of our big player contracts to 100k for three years, you'll need to chop off about 20 million from that transfer kitty.
That's about 15.6 mil for wages over the three years and a 5 mil retainer like Vermaelen got.
Loose Cannon,
Wages will be part subsidised by getting Squillachi, Arshavin, Fabianski, Denilson, Bendtner and Chamakh along with the excess of fringe players in our squad. As we were well known for over paying for mediocrity I think wages will not be as big an issue.
True, Mikeymax, I was just pointing out that any figure the board has leaked out in the past has been all-inclusive and is spread out over many years.
I made up the Ronaldo stuff, to try and see if anyone would bite and you did

were just too good for you guys have been since 2003
yes u have been to good for us since Roman took over,i cant argue with that and since 2005 not 2003
It's quite believable that the media would make up something like that, to be fair. Well played, Fab.
*1... we don't want shrek playing for us. He's on Ronaldo & Messi money... and both of those are wingers/midfielders/strikers who can play in any position they are asked cos they are that good, and still bang in the goals. And pver here we have shrek crying, whinging, moaning while he's on mad wages.
England need a new role model, and lead striker to step up cos hate the fact Rooney is our best national player, with a selfish, arrogant, greedy, highly over-rated attitude. We're going to get thrashed in World Cup next year, if we're even able to qualify!
To be honest LC I think supporters need to be reminded of that sometimes as I think a "FIFA" mentality takes over when it comes to supporters wish list. Although I do think with our current financial situation should allow us to push the boat out towards the £100M mark
A shame Rooney wont be getting a title winners medal this season. If only he joined us.
