Not a chance. He will easily get a team in england and he aint gonna come to celtic as he will want into the England squads.
Would be a fantastic achievement if we got him but there is hee haw chance of it happening.
I can't see it happening to be honest, but I would love it to as he is the kind of player we need at the minute. Big tall target man who can also finish well, something which Murphy and Samaras just don't seem to be doing on the pitch! I can see us just sticking with what we have now though; unless Lenny can pluck a good target man from a club for a small fee.
No chance
Hes on £60,000 a week anyway
wasnt rabbie on 60k a week!
but i agree no chance more chance of peter lovenkrands!!
nah sorry mate ain't gonna happen, those days are behind us i'm afraid.
he would be great up here though and would be some partner for hooper/stokes
hahahaha talk about deluded!
aye I know it wouldn't happen. just wanted to get the opinion of what could be.
I wish we signed John Sutton from well. Think he would be great with stokes/hooper along side him. He bullies defences. He would be great in a hunz game. Not as good as his bro was, but as you all agree we can't afford someone like that these days
Wife wont leave London, besides we don't have long enough socks for him!
On a more serious note, I think we should avoid EPL and it's over-priced players/wages. It seems to be our business plan, to scout less known talent and build a team for the future, or put them in a shop window for profit. It won't bring immediate success, but should be good enough to win the SPL consistently. I hope the "pack of cards" that is the EPL falls sooner rather than later. Then our current prudence will pay dividends as we again become a force in european football.
btw I know he signed for Hearts, that should have read I wish he had signed him from well
It's absolutley shocking the gulf in finance between Scotland and EPL.
It's all sky's fault, plus we have far too many teams for the population. It's sickening the amount of money you get for being in the EPL... one team gets more in 1 season that our deal is worth over 5 years I bet
hahahaha talk about deluded!
=======
be fair, you honestly believed you were in with a shout at getting goodwillie
hahaha c'mon keny, hardly the same thing as you well know!
our league doesnt have any draw anymore, not even champions league football
agreed keny. Its a scunner. Dont know if we will ever get back to the days of laudrup, gazza, de boers, larson, sutton etc
if the EPL does collapse, and there is a distinct possibility of this happening, clubs down there have huge debt and next time tv deal comes to be renewed sky can basically name their own price
well here's hoping anyway cos i hate the arrogance of our southern neighbours
dunno why folk think the epl will collapse?
Imo, it wont.
it wont collapse, but i think sky are in a position to lower their offer a bit...
the epl comment i wrote is more in hope than expectation. clubs like fulham can way outbid us
that just isn't right

I can just see his missus jumping at the chance to move up to cosmopolitan Glasgow ... Never going to happen in a million years.
=========
he'l be feart in case mcgregor pumps her.
I think he would score 50+ goals if he moved to the SPL. He is almost in the same quality bracket as Beattie IMO.
Imagine if celtic managed to get Crouchy and Heskey - the mind boggles at the footballing masterclass they could dish out to the rest of the league.
keny - he probably already has. Gets about oor greigsy!
do u think when scotlands world cup draw was being done he was playing bingo? kinda like wee guys with stickers?
FYR Macedonia - need
Wales - got
Belgium - got
Serbia - got
Croatia - need ( jellys sisters gettin it! )
